Car description

Here we have a 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan.
This car is original and complete. Runs and drives and stops with the use of the emergency brake. I have not gotten into the braking system yet. The car sat for 14 years and I believe all the fluid evaporated or weeped out as there is no pedal action.
When I purchased the car it did not run. After an ignition tune up and a cleansing, I wired in a low pressure fuel pump and it ran on the first crank. Sounds solid with no stupid knocks or pings with the exception of a leaking exhaust system.
You will find sheet metal loss in the floors....drivers side, rear passenger where the jam meets the floor, both rear corners of the trunk and naturally, there are a few minor issues with the rockers. Chrome is all present as is the stainless trim. You will note the rear bumper ends are intact but have holes. Drivers door handle button is locked up.
Lights work, signals work, radio turns on but no sound, clock...non-op, heat...non-op, windows work with the exception of the drivers side...albeit slowly but they do work.
Motor has had the pugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, points, condenser and resistor replaced. I installed a brand new Correct battery. As I stated before the mechanical fuel pump supposedly failed. I wired in a low pressure fuel pump. Carburetor has zero leaks and responds accordingly. Everything under the hood is original. The original fuel pump is still in line just disconnected. Car shifts through all gears as it should with no banging, grinding or random undesirable sounds. Emergency brake effectively stops car at low speeds. This car is able to drive onto a trailer or flatbed and stop by itself.
I have a clean title. 84000 miles on the title but less on the car. Odometer shows 70k+- but the previous owner didnt know the mileage when she obtained the title and just guessed. Not a problem in my mind but want to be perfectly clear about it.
The car should be restored in my opinion. It is solid with no door sag. All panels line up. Everything is present and Original with the exception of the ignition system tune up parts and battery. The original spare is mounted to the car right now as the passenger rear tire would not hold air. I even have the ORIGINAL 1955 license plate this car was issued in the state of MA. You can find it in the picture gallery. I am the 3rd owner. The finish on the car cannot be replicated....Patina. Clear coat it and you have a Survivor look. Or dump thousands into the paint work. the choice is yours.
I will assist in loading. I have shipped cars worldwide and can assist in the quoting process if absolutely needed.
