We need at least a 24 hour advanced notice for inspectionand inspection must be BEFORE the auction is over...not afterwards you have won the auction. The same conditions apply if you were at a leading live auction. You have to pay in full for whatever you bought before you leave the auction site.I first saw this breathtaking Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible in JohnStaluppi's Cars Of Dreams Museum in North Palm Beach, lorida. John hadrecreated the new car showroom of one of his very first auto dealerships whichwas for Pontiac, ldsmobile & Cadillac. The color of this car is one of the most gorgeous I have every seen on any automobile,it is the Blue/Green Color of the crystal clear water in many parts of the Caribbean. When I discovered that Cadillac had given this color the name "Hampton Green" Iwas somewhat surprised...a more appropriate name would have been "Sparkling Caribbean" or "Crystal Clear Aqua" but the name is secondary. This car is so incredibly beautiful, find it is hard to describe...but I will do my best...it is only when you see this car in person and drive it, an you really appreciate thislate 1950's masterpiece ofmechanical art.It was the "swan song" of one of the greatest automotive designers of the 20th Century...Harley Earl. I personally feel hehad the greatest influence of anyone in the creation of the modern automobile. He was a true automotive genius. The 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible is a "milestone" car and one of the topten designed cars built in the twenty century. It is the epitome of fins & chrome. No other car captures the essence of the "jet age" quite like the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado, ith styling that could have been copied from a fighter plane. While many believe that Cadillac's tailfins were a product of the 1950s, heir use actually dates back to GM's 3/8-scale "Interceptor" design studies of the early 1940s, hich were inspired by the radical P-38 Lightning fighter aircraft of World War II.Available in Biarritz convertible and Seville hardtop form, long with the hand-built Brougham four-door hardtop, he Eldorado was Cadillac's undisputed image leader for 1959. Standard Eldorado equipment included a heater, og lamps, ir-assisted suspension, radio with a rear speaker, ower windows, six-way power front seat, ower door locks and whitewall tires. Power was provided by the top Q-code 390 cubic inch V8, hich thumped out 345 horsepower with a trio of two-barrel carburetors, eamed with a four-speed Hydra-Matic Drive automatic transmission.Just four options were available for the Eldorado - air conditioning(not on this car), ruise control, he Autronic-Eye automatic headlight dimmer and E-Z Eye glass, long with a no-cost bucket seat option for the Biarritz(only 99 were produced). Both the Biarritz convertible and the Seville hardtops carried a lofty base price of $7,401 when new, ith only 1,320 examples of the Biarritz produced. If you're tired of watching your investments disappear in today's financial marketplace, his is a blue chip investment automobile that will only increase in value.Cadillac built 1320 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertibles in 1959 but only 99 had thefactory bucket seats. The bucket seats were NOT an extra cost accessory but the reason why only 99 were order with the buckets seats is simple. These cars were order by the affluent buyer and usually someone in their 50's or 60's and they wanted to haveseating for 3 in the front and 3 in the back...whereas the bucket seat cars limited the seating to 2 in the front and 3 in the back.We have written documentation from GM Heritage that confirms this is a factory bucket seat car- just 1 of 99 made. These cars command a significantly higher price and greater demand than a bench seat car.A buddy of mine use to borrow his parents 59 Eldo convertible because when we went to the drive-in movies, e could sneak 4 or 5 kids in the movie by hiding them in the massive trunk area. The paint on this car has such a deep shine...it looks like you could put your hand inside the car's finish. The chrome is spectacular....it is show quality...as is the entire car.The body is arrow straight and the fit on the doors, ood and trunk is as goodas it gets. All the power equipment works great...Power windows, ower top, ower seats, power trunk release, tc.If you had a rust free 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible and took it to a toprestoration shop, il up your check book. A restoration of this quality will cost youNorth of $300,000 and take 2 1/2 to 3 years to complete.I amwell awareof the prices on these cars....not just run of the mill examples orthose who have only had a ground-up rest6oration...but cars done to this standard.John only collected the best of the best and this car was no exception. He reluctantly gave me the okay to sell this car to it's present owner and Rogerhas kept up the tradition of giving any car from the Cars Of Dreams Museum the best of care.It left the Cars Of Dreams Museum and has been kept in Roger's Museum in Virginia...about 100 miles North of Washington D.C.It has it's original Cadillac 390 CID V-8 with tri-power and is rated at 345 Horsepower. All mechanics like the transmission were rebuilt as was the 12 volt electric systems. This is a turn key car that you can drive to any Concurs D'Elegance, in 1st place and then drive it back home.It is UNDER PRICED...you can pay $250,000, 300,000, ven $400,000 for a car of thisquality and provenance buy why if it isn't necessary.Pick up the phone and I'll give you the low "buy it now" price.Come yourself or send anyone you like to inspect this car...it is a "No Disappointment"iconic Platinum investment Cadillac that anyone would be proud to own & drive.Shipping: If you need help shipping this car in the U.S. or anywhere else in this world, will be happy to put you in direct contact with Mary Olson who has been our sole shipping person for not only us, ut for several of my friends who own car museums.
