Car description

This car was a barn find and had not run since mid 70's after she ate her clutch. I bought the car from the Son of the original owner, making this a 3-owner car. I have owned for almost 4 years, and have rebuilt the drive train in the meantime. The car shows 88K miles, and I pulled the 320CI straight eight motor and transmission, tore it down, and brought the block, crank, and head to Slack in Gainesville for any needed machine work. The block and crank showed minimal wear, so the block was cleaned and honed, and the crank was polished. All bearings and rings were replaced with NOS standard sizes. The pistons and Babbitt were fine, so were just cleaned. The head was shaved and they did a valve job. The cam was replaced with a newly reground cam. The solid lifters were refaced. Flywheel resurfaced. Drums turned.
New:
Kanter Clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, thrust bearing, oil pump, coil, points, condenser, spark plugs and wires, entire exhaust system, brakes, including shoes, all hardware, lines, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, stop switch, voltage regulator, tires, tubes, side mirrors, electric fuel pump, gauge set, aftermarket radiator and overflow, electric cooling fan, all hoses and clamps, fan belt, thermostat, front wheel bearings with seals, and a rebuilt water pump.
I have the original radiator, jack, extra hub caps, parts and radio to include. I installed a rebuilt mechanical fuel pump, but it did not pump, so I bypassed with a new 6v electric pump. Has an Optima 6v battery for extra power. The fuel tank was removed, cleaned and resealed and has a new fuel line up to the filter and fuel pump.
The body is very solid with a clean underside with no rust out. small dent on the two rear fenders, and a bit of a crease on passenger side front fender. The rockers and lower trunk ring have some rust through. but I have new replacement rockers to include. The underside has been cleaned and painted. All 4 doors have never been off and close with the sound of a bank vault thunk. Check out the bomb sight hood ornament.
The car was originally Rivermist Gray and now has an excellent patina. If I were to keep the car, I would probably just do a bit of scotch bright, then clear coat. I sprayed her with Ospho when I first brought her home.
The car has only been driven in my driveway and neighborhood. She cranks right up and shifts gears fine, and runs cool. Since she has solid lifters, I was very conservative in setting the valve lash to keep from burning valves, so she clicks, and would recommend not readjusting until the motor has a few miles on it. I have most receipts. I also will include other misc parts, including extra hub caps and wheel rings.

Today, I cranked the car and found a leak of some sort at the manifold. Most likely a gasket did not seal properly. I started to cancel the auction, but instead decided to lower the reserve to see how it plays out. Ask any questions please.

On Dec-12-17 at 12:57:15 PST, seller added the following information:

This very slight leak is from the exhaust manifold. The head bolts on the drivers side are tapped into the water jacket. I suspect my Loctite thread sealer gave up on a bolt or two in this area. No water in oil. Still cranks and runs great.
