1962 Austin Healey Sprite MK2 with Hardtop

Here is a great 1962 Sprite with very little modifications.

It has:

• 948cc engine
• Ribcase 4-speed transmission (Original smoothcase transmission included)
• 4 wheel drum brakes (new in 2017)
• Positive Ground Lucas electrical
• Spin-on oil filter (no original)
• Aftermarket smaller steering wheel
• Air Horn

Overall this a great car and includes a hardtop, soft top and cockpit cover. It is red and the paint is good, but does have a few chips and blemishes. It is not the fastest of cars, but drivable. If you know these cars the top speed is not that high, but great for around town and backroads. The brakes and clutch have been replaced in 2017, but the brakes are the original small 4-wheel drum. The smoothcase transmission was replaced with a later ribcase transmission in 2017 and comes with the original. 1st gear is not synchro-ed on these transmissions.

Car is located just south of Houston, Texas in Pearland, Texas.

I am selling because I need the garage space and based on the value of the car it is not worth putting in storage. I have owned many sprites and this is a very nice one, so looking to find it a new home to care for it. It is becoming more rare to find cars that are not highly modified.
