1949 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery Custom Wagon

For sale is a very nice 1949 Chevrolet Sedan Custom Delivery Wagon. this former show car was first introduced in Texas in the mid 60's and was shown there until the late 70's . at that point it was placed in dry storage and was not seen again until 2009- over 30 years later!. One reason it is unique is because the original builder decided he wanted the driver and passenger side doors to be longer than the stock ones. so the stock delivery doors were replaced with 2 door sedandoors which are about 6" longer. this allows the lines of the car to flow more smoothly and the added window space makes driving with the windows down far more comfortable for the occupants. a tremendous amount of time and difficult work was needed to accomplish that look. including widening the door jambs. the results speak for themselves.
