Car description

Hello All,
Up for auction is my 1968 Rebel SST. If you are a rebel fan, this is the car. It has all of the superior body stylings of the 68' Rebel with the one sweet feature of the working hood scoop and Hood Tach found on the 70' Machine and SST. It is a true SST with the original 343 V8. The scoop was obviously added later, though before I owned it. How about we do that history... I have had the car for a little over two years. It is an original black plate California car with virtually no rust ever shown as having been present. I say virtually because there are tiny, less than an inch surface rust spots here and there that occur and wipe off with a rag like nothing. Like in the trunk. The car is a beauty. The fellow I bought it from owned a shop. He had redone the brakes, suspension, top end, belts, hoses, and basically all mechanical functions aside from the lower block itself. When I bought it two and a halfyears ago... I redid all the weather stripping, trunk, doors, etc... And the interior. Headliner, dash (though there are two cracks in it), carpet, doors, and all the trim. The seats are custom leather AMC original, and in fantastic shape! So basically the body is clean and tight. The mechanics are strong, and the interior looks great! I don't want to sell the car. I was a MOPAR guy for years. Owned several top notch B bodies. When I saw this car I just fell for it. And why you might ask am I selling it? Fair question... I just moved back to the Monterey area for work. I have no garage here. And I hate to see the car sit outside a block from the beach each day. It has been covered for the 5 months I have been here. But it just ain't right. For the previous two years I owned it the creature it was garaged in Petaluma CA. I feel it's best to let it go to a new owner. It drives like a champ! Runs clean and powerful! The tires are at maybe 20% used. Many years left on 'em. The rims with the volcano caps are top notch. You're welcome to come by for a look and test driveif local. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a line. Oh yeah, the car is registered with a clear title in California.
The name's Drew.
The car is tight. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer Rebel anywhere.
Thanks for reading!
Drew~
