Car description |
---|
Up for sale is my beautiful 1992 Acura Legend LS Coupe. The exterior is finished in "Seattle Silver", which is a light champagne metallic color. Inside is a very well kept and smoke-free taupe leather interior. Features of this top of the line coupe include an automatic transmission, power windows, door locks, power driver and passenger front seats, power moonroof and automatic climate control with cold air conditioning. Professionally installed is a double-din CD player with bluetooth calling and music streaming capability, as well as rear back up camera that projects onto the screen. I also had a remote start system installed, which allows you to use a remote to start the car from up to 1500 feet away. I have 2 sets of remotes for this car which allows you to start, lock and unlock it. Also included are 2 master keys and a valet key.
I've owned this lovely car for 3 years, having purchased it from the son of the original owner. This car has always been cared for and it shows- both in its physical appearance and also its driveability. As you can see from the photos (taken shortly before this listing), the cosmetic condition of this car shows very well, especially considering the age and mileage (277,530 miles). There are no door dings, dents, faded paint, or rock chips on the car. The leather is soft and supple, with no holes or rips. The carpet is stain free and free of smells. All glass is in great condition and a nice tint was applied under my ownership. The windshield was replaced about a year ago. It has always been garaged and it shows. I do not have factory wheels for this car. When I purchased it, it already had a set of aftermarket wheels installed. The ones currently on the car were installed under my ownership. They are 17" Konig wheels with almost new Kumho tires (less than 5k miles).
Mechanically, this car has been well maintained by all of its owners. The engine is smooth and strong. It does not run warm, does not overheat, does not blow any sort of smoke or burn any oil. I have driven it on the hottest Phoenix days without issue. I have service records from the Acura dealership that show the timing belt/ water pump/ tensioners were replaced at 246,739 miles. That same ticket shows the ABS accumulator and pressure lines were replaced as well at a cost of $1266.40. The transmission is strong and does not slip. All of the gears engage properly. The transmission fluid was replaced by the dealer at 251,405 miles and I have service records for this service as well. The power steering rack was re-sealed by the same dealer at 260,778 miles. Last year as preventative maintenance, I had the cooling system flushed and filled, as well as a new thermostat installed. The underside of this car does not show any signs of oil leaks. In fact, during the last oil change, all of the techs commented on how impressed they were and described the undercarriage as "bone dry". The only recommended service was to replace a torn CV axle boot on the front passenger side. Other than this, the only item that needs attention is the power antenna. (I broke the mast running the car through the automatic car wash. It is usually hand washed, and on the one time I ran it through, I left the antenna up and broke it.)
These Legends are becoming harder and harder to find in this condition. I'm happy to answer questions you might have over the phone. I welcome local bidders to come see the car before bidding. Should an out of state buyer win the auction, I can pick you up from the Phoenix airport or help arrange shipping. I am a private seller who also happens to be an enthusiast for this type of car (it is my fourth Legend). This car has a clean title with no liens and no salvage history. You may reach me at (602) 402-2958 for further questions. On Sep-07-17 at 00:45:54 PDT, seller added the following information:On Sep-07-17 at 01:05:59 PDT, seller added the following information:
