Car description

1942 Willys MB

Up for auction us a stunning 1942 Willys MB. This jeep has undergone a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration to factory specifications. This was a 4 year no expense spared build, with lots of attention to detail. Everything is new or restored original. This jeep is a blast to cruise in and gets tons of attention.

The original chassis and running gear have were restored by specialist who is an expert in war time jeeps. Everything was done, not a single bolt left untouched. The original engine, transmission, and rear end were rebuilt. The entire steering, suspension, cooling system, charging system, complete wiring harness, etc were all restored, and to original specs.
This MB runs and drives great, and unlike most, is very roadworthy. It has had over 800 trouble free miles since being completed. It starts easily, idles smooth, doesnt smoke, knock, or tick. It tracks straight down the road, and drives like a new one would have in 1942. Everything on the jeep works with the exception of the fuel gauge.
Cosmetically, the jeep looks fantastic. It has new glass, seals, canvas top, seats, gauges, and tons of other new parts. The body is extremely nice and has no rust. Correct paint was used on the body and chassis.
The engine compartment was restored to original. Lots of time was spent detailing and painted each part as it would have been done when it was new.
All the correct accessoriesare included. It has an M1 Garand replica, flashlight, and some wartime tools and tool box. The Jerry can, fire extinguisher, water bucket, ax and shovel.
A crank start handle is included. The jeep will easily start with the hand crank.
The chassis number is 138290, which matches the body tag.

Engine Block # - 638632

This is one of the best examples of a wartime jeep on the market today. If you have ever wanted one, here is your chance to own a good one. If you added the labor and materials invested in restoring a MB to this level, you will find you will be far ahead financially by purchasing this one. The reserve is very reasonable.

If you are serious about purchasing the jeep, feel free to call with any questions. I reserve the right to end the listing early, and the jeep could sell at any time. I have been selling high end classics on Ebay since 1999 and have 100% feedback. I am listing this Jeep for a family member, and if there is a question I cannot answer, he would be happy to speak with any serious buyers.
