Car description

Up for auction for the first time in 31 years is my synchro camper, You've heard the saying " This car was driven by a little old teacher back and forth to school only twelve miles a day" well that's about it except for several camping trips to Canada, Florida and a road trip out west. Not many off road adventures. Since retired I now use it for camping and fishing locally. I love fresh and salt water fly fishing and often tie my flies right in the van [picture].Why am I selling it now? Because I live in expensive NJ and want to stay here! Besides, I had my time with her and now am ready for some new syncronaut like you to have some fun. Someone said there were only about 500 synchro GL campers sold in the USA between 1986 and 1991. Not sure, but I know they're not common. I've seen the Utube videos of what these can do off road with a bigger engine! Not for me! It's a great vehicle but it does have some minor problems. All fixable but not by me. The original paint now shows several rust spots around windows and needs attention. Theses are rust spots not rust throughs{see pictures}. A few years ago the viscous coupler started to make noise so I had the drive shaft disconnected. It's stored safely in my garage {see picture}. I've put off the needed repair...a sin I must continue to live with. Now driving only with rear wheels. Supposably an easy repair once you find the coupler. In 2003 I was in a minor accident. Some young buck made a left turn into my rear left side panel while I was crossing an intersection. Only two blocks from home! A local professional body shop did a good repairing the dent. The rear bumper was dented while I was shopping and then of course they forgot to stay around! Radio antenna was replaced but is not working as well as before. I haven't used the air conditioner in years so it probably needs servicing. Except for some road dings everything else is good! The original Wasserboxer 2.1 L engine is still running strong. Kitchen propane stove and refrigerator work well. Popup canvas, screening and top are good all round. Comes with original front privacy curtain, side and rear curtains and rear mosquito netting and electrical cord hookup. Also I will include many repair worksheet receipts and manuals as well as the original window sticker sheet listing all of the included options not mentioned so far[see pictures] and the bill of sale if you want that too! Title is free and clear. I can't think of anything else! Put a little more money and sweat into this syncro camper and you will have one of the most useful, versatile and rarest of all vehicles on or off the road today...and a place to call home anywhere, anytime! Any questions please ask. If you live close and want to see it, send me a message through eBay.
