Car description

Everyone knows what a Volkswagen Van or Bus or Camper or Westphalia is and they are known around the world for different purposes and uses depending on time and history. However one thing is for certain the VW Bus no matter what year or age of person every single one has had some sort of story associated with one. The 1987 Vanagon was also known as the Type 2 (T3). It was produced in all parts of the world in many different variants from 1979 through 2002. This particular model is the exact... Van that you need to purchase. It is currently owned by the second owner who is also a retired Doctor. He purchased this VW from the local dealer a couple years after the first owners traded it back in. It is also important to know that the current owner traded his 1979 VW Bay window camper in on this Vanagon. This Van has seen one winter and that was in 1991. Ever since then it has been stored during the winter months. Included in the sale is every single receipt from new and all paperwork that any work around from dealer that has been performed throughout the years. Original owners manual and keys completely stock and clean interior and a full four page write up from the seller explaining every major thing done to the VW almost like its own journal. This Westphalia is in excellent mechanical condition that has seen perfect maintenance throughout his nearly 30 year ownership. The A/C has been converted to R134 that blows cold. An aftermarket cruise control from VW and the dealer was installed at time of purchase and still functions properly. An upgraded sound system and some installed items make this the perfect travel companion. Several years ago the Good Doctor did have some surface rust in the rear seams touched up. Keep in mind this is rust from defections in the metal and not from outside use. He was never completely happy with the repair but lived with it. There is some of the same thing happening again but is very superficial. These VW's that have this kind of history are hard to come by.
