Car description

1962 Volkswagen Beetle Hot Rod1918CC SCAT Motor/4 Speed TrannyTONS of work and MODS
Background: I acquiredthis car through some wheelin' and dealin'. I've had it about a month and have put 70+ miles on the car. I must first say someone has a LOT of money and time in this thing to make it look that there was not much money or time in it. The work and details to get this car to have the patina and vintage barn find look is unbelievable. I've owner $50K+ cars and I get more looks, thumbs up and people taking pictures with this car than any other car that I have owned. Someone is going to get an awesome cruiser and have a great time making memories in this car.
Electrical: EVERYTHING on this car works and has been tested. From the headlights, taillights, turn signals, licence plate light, dash lights, windshield wipers, CD radio, fuel gauge, speedometer, odometer, horn and the candlelight accents in the headlights. It all works, i think that alone says alot about this car and the time that has been put into it.
Mechanical:This car is a BEAST. I don't know anything about these cars or motors so all this is based off previous owner, howeverI will say the things is amazing sounding! Professionally built 1918cc SCAT motor with dual carbs. A cam that is CRAZY big and just thumps as it idles (see video links). Electric fuel pump and electric fans.

Features: Aside from the crazy engine modificationsthe car also has a 2" narrowed front end (Lowerable), swing rear axle (inward camber wheels), new brake lines, 90%+ tread tires with mock white walls.
Paint: This car has 7+ layers of paint in some spots to get the sanded through look. From a sheet metal base to a gray, white, black, green, orange and turquiose. You can see the different layers in spots that have been sanded. The parts with base oxidized sheet metal have been clear coated to prevent corrosion. Again a TON of work to make it look old. All glass is good with one piece windows. Roof rack with surfboard and gas can. Removableengine hatch (I think it looks cooler with it off). Really nice chrome trim work and all new window/seal rubber.
Interior: Solid interior with nice carpet, headliner, door panels, seats and dash tray. The car has seat belts. Very clean and comfortable interior for getting out and cruising.
Broken/Issues:The drivers inside door handle is broken. The parking brake does not work. The car leaks some oil. The carbs might need to be adjusted (high end backfire/hesitation) and it pops out of 2nd gear sometimes (gear syncros?). None of the above effect the car and can be enjoyed just as is. Minus the fact it does sit low to the ground you could drive it anywhere (see video of 75+ MPH on highway).
