1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet Carat Convertible 2-Door 1.8L

Very little rust - none underneathRuns good but it's been sitting since Nov so need to run the old gas out of itI start it every couple days and let it run for several minutes. It sometimes idles rough.Top and all gauges workDash in very good condition, s well as back seats but front seats are sun damagedA/C and heat both workTransmission good/automaticNew exhaust from converter backNew front suspension/struts and brakesNew windshieldInspection was up last monthIt def needs some work and it would be perfect for someone who works on autosThe front windows don't work so thankfully the top does. Back windows are crank so they work.The right rear axle is bent, ot severely but it wears back tires quicker.Needs tiresAlternator belt squealswindshield wiper hose/tube needs put onHas some minor body damage on the passenger side - The axle can be fixed pretty easily. My brother is a mechanic and said it's not a difficult job and the car it NOT totaled because of this. The vehicle report claims a total loss was reported but, bviously that's not the case as it has been run ever since. I drove it for almost a year with no problem whatsoever. It was a great car, ery reliable and started right up on the coldest of days.
