Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this excellent driving, final year production TR-6 in a rare color scheme. As evidenced by the VIN plate, this car left the factory in Tahiti Blue with beige trim, fitted with an overdrive gearbox. Today, it still retains it’s properly operating overdrive transmission and is still wearing it’s correct and original color scheme. This car was recently purchased from it’s long term owner in Las Vegas, Nevada who brought the car there from California.Body and paintwork on this car overall is of very good quality with a nice, glossy, and vibrant finish. Aside from a few noted chips, the paint is quite excellent all the way around and was properly color sanded and buffed at the time of the repaint. Panel fit is very decent. Bumpers look excellent front and back with good chrome. The windshield is a quality newer replacement Triplex brand.The car’s interior has been nicely restored in a custom beige velour material to the seats and interior panels. They’re quite comfortable and are a nice option/change to the standard vinyl offering by the factory. The dashboard is excellent, being completely restored with crash pads, switch plinth, top pad, visors, center console, new light wood dash facia, custom alloy/wood steering wheel, sealing rubbers, etc . Soft top, top boot, and tonneau cover are all in black and are in nice condition.Mechanically, this car feels quite superb. The engine starts easily on the key and revs well with good oil pressure and no smoke. It’s nicely painted and clean which is good evidence it’s been recently rebuilt. It’s fitted with performance HS-6 carbs which really adds to the engine’s output and easy-revving nature. The car drives superbly down the road with a good gearbox, clutch, brakes, tires, suspension- all feeling taught and well-mannered. It’s lots of fun and has a great exhaust note. The grippy tires are a lower profile than standard but it’s ratios are made up along the road by the excellent working overdrive unit.Overall, a super and strong driving TR-6 produced during it’s final year in rare colors with factory overdrive.
