Car description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this fully restored GT-6 coupe needing some final completion. This car was recently purchased from it's seller in Ohio where it had been restored with a competition flavor about it. The bodywork has been lightly modified and "smoothed out" eliminating the inner bonnet to front fender spot-weld seams, and the front roof drip channel over the front windshield area. The result is a more streamlined and purposeful track look to the car, especially with the front and rear bumpers removed. The bodywork performed on this car is nice and straight to a very good standard. The fresh "glass-out" professional repaint on this car is in Triumph's attractive Powder Blue and presents very well overall with no apparent issues. Panel gapping is quite decent with nice opening and closing doors, hood, and trunk hatch. A new windshield glass has been refitted with new rubber front and rear gaskets. The car's interior is in process of being completed and currently has a new light wooden dashboard fitted with matching steering wheel. It's very attractive with the car's existing exterior color. Seats are freshly trimmed in a quality beige/tan vinyl along with a matching panel kit made from the same. A new black carpet kit has been purchased. The car's headliner is new but could use some tightening up. The car's interior includes new parts to finish the job, and at this point needs some easy final finishing mostly in the rear hatch area, door seals fitted, windshield rubber insert strips, and carpets positioned and snapped down.Mechanically, the car appears to be completely rebuilt. All of the car's suspension has been rebuilt, front and rear, and is fitted with new shocks, brakes, bushes, etc. The car's engine looks the same. It's whistle clean and nicely painted. It's fitted with some upgrades such as a modern alternator and high torque starter, rebuilt carburetor set, electronic ignition, custom stainless exhaust system. It could definitely use some tuning and adjustment at this point, as I believe it's fitted with a special higher lift camshaft, and is troublesome to start. The car currently runs and drives decently along the road, but I'm sure it's in it's early stages of being recently restored and needs a shakedown. The car is fitted with a set of four special VTO Racing alloy wheels with wider tires that suit the car nicely. The car's underside is clean and nicely painted, looks completely rustfree and solid.Overall, this realy attractive GT-6 is almost at the finish line of it's restoration. It's currently running and driving. Lots of money and time has been spent on it, but it needs some final finishing off with it's interior trim, mechanical tuning/sorting out. It has a unique competition look about and will certainly make a stir once completed and shown at local car shows.
