Car description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very good driving early TR3A Roadster. This car was recently purchased from it's older Maryland owner who reluctantly decided to part with his pride and joy before moving into a retirement community. This car runs and drives well and has been fitted at some point in it's life with the desirable overdrive gearbox. It appears that this car was originally white or Primrose yellow with black trim, a very nice traditional color combination on these cars. The body on this car appears decently straight with an excellent grille fit, and very good all around panel fit. Paintwork appears decent from 10 feet back, but was clearly a modest and average older job, now showing checking, lifting, a few chips, and some scrapes. The car's interior is a bit shabby. Carpets have been removed, so it's needing a kit. Seats are comfortable, and seating position in the car is nice and low. The car includes interior pieces pictured, but is missing a side capping and two smaller rear ones. The car does includes very decent to nice full weather equipment including a usable top, sidescreen set, and a very nice tonneau cover. Also included is the lifting jack, handle, spare tire and rim. The dashboard appears very original with correct gauges, switches, good original steering wheel, trafficator, etc. Decent windshield. The car's mechanicals are very sound and robust. The car's engine starts easily on the key and revs very well with great oil pressure, no smoke or noises. The gearbox shifts crisply through it's gears with good brakes, clutch, suspension, steering. The OD unit isn't connected up yet electrically, so there was no way to test or inspect it. The tires are old Michelins and need replacing. The car drives fairly well down the road with good power. Please view the car in action in the attached VIDEO !The car's underside is pretty solid and original with only some evidence of some fiberglass repair in the front passenger floor well. The frame looks great, solid and straight. The inner rockers look solid and quite good. The car's trunk and spare tire well look great.Overall, a good value car with a fairly nice and solid body. It runs and drives well and could use at least some interior cosmetics. This car has the desirable and rare overdrive gearbox fitted. These fun and popular classics enjoy good club support and great parts availability. Well priced.VIDEO LINK OF TRIUMPH DRIVING HERE:https://youtu.be/VQAyHTlaPb8
