Car description

Up for sale is a 1970 Triumph Spitfire. This is the very last year of the early Spitfires. The early spitfires were virtually the same in appearance from their inception through 1970, o the car looks like the first model produced around 1963-1964, xcept for the front bumper and valence. After this year, nd perhaps towards the end of 1970, he later style Spitfire was produced. This car has a 1300 engine, nd currently has a 327 differential installed, hich came from a GT6. This makes overdrive completely unnecessary as you can cruise at highway speeds of 70 mph at around 3900 rpms. Just don't think you can spin your tires when starting up. If spinning your tires is important and not higher speeds with low rpms, hen simply replace the 327 differential with the 411 or 389 differentials which come along with the car sale. It takes me about ½ day to swap a differential in a spitfire. The engine was refurbished with new rings and bearings, ngine completely dissembled and honed. Engine compression is around 170 in all cylinders. Oil pressure is excellent. Both compression and oil pressure can be viewed prior to purchase. Transmission works very well also. Car has good brakes with all new brakes lines, new radiator, new generator, ood starter motor, ood fuel pump, ood tires, lot of new front end and rear end parts, nd many other favorable drive train attributes. The car has NO RUST. This can be verified by examination. Also, y examination, ou can determine that the car has not been in an accident. As a matter of fact, would place a bet with someone that I could drive it to Jacksonville, lorida and back within four days. Would be willing to bet $4,000, o if anyone wants to make that bet, et me know. That said, he car can more than obviously be driven home. If the car was painted and some new interior parts replaced, his car would be fantastic. It does has some issues though. The speedo gauge doesn't tell the exact mileage due to the differential swap. Also, he high beams don't work. There are things like that that need to be addressed. I will be adding more pictures soon. This is a good car for further restoration considering no prior accidents, o rust, nd drivetrain is in good order. Or just drive it now and have fun. An extra front windshield also comes with the car.

I also have a factory original hardtop which I am selling separately. The hardtop has the original glass and has all new rubber seals. The hardtop has no rust and is painted black. However, t doesn't have the ceiling cloth headliner.
