C F package included seats with a rear massaging feature (which is part of why they look different than LS 400 rear seats), radio controls, rear climate controls, rear heated seats, and a cassette player.
fender poles, air purifier, rear curtain, nakamichi system?
The LS 400 was among the first luxury sedans to feature an automatic tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with SRS airbag, power adjustable shoulder seat belts, and an electrochromic rear-view mirror. The five-passenger cabin included California walnut and leather trim, power-adjustable seats, and soft-touch controls. A back-lit electro-luminescent gauge cluster featured a holographic visual effect, with indicator lights projected onto the instrument panel. The memory system stored the driver's seat, side mirror, steering wheel, and seat belt positions. Available luxury options included a Nakamichi premium sound system and an integrated cellular telephone with hands-free capabilities. The LS 400 further contained some 300 technological innovations to aid smooth operation and silence, including fluid-damped cabin fixtures, vibration-insulating rubber mounts, airflow fairings, and sandwich steel body panels.
Japanese Domestic Market models were available in three different trim levels. The basic "A", upgraded suspension "B", and fully equipped "Type C". Among the many features are: automatic tilt and telescoping steering wheel, electro-luminescent gauge cluster, SRS airbag, power adjustable shoulder seat belts, power adjustable seats, power memory seat functions, electro-crhomatic rear-view mirror, traction control, ABS, ECT, overdrive, automatic climate control, power air purification system, electronic modulated air suspension (TEMS), electronic ride height control, power fender parking pole, power adjustable & folding ultrasonic (water clearing) mirrors, power windows and locks, California walnut trim, "Celsior Super Live Sound System", cassette, CD changer, and Celsior doily seat covers.
With a highly advanced V8 engine and a slew of options it was clear that Toyota was now a player in the luxury car market across the world. The Japanese models, specifically the "Type C" had even more options that were not even available on it's US counterpart the Lexus LS400. These options included heated, massaging, and reclining rear seats, as well as 2 zone climate control with both audio and climate controls located in the rear seats.
This Type C model Celsior is in great condition and it's hard to believe it has real 31k miles. The black 2 paint shines nicely with no blemishes and looks very vibrant in direct light. The body is in similar condition with no major dents or dings.
Leather interior is present which is more rare than the cloth counter-part. The dash is free of cracks and the carpet shows no signs of staining. All of the panels are in very good condition with little to no wear. The rear seat controls for the vibrate and recline functions are working as they should.
Mechanically, the car is wonderful. The engine starts and runs perfectly with no known issues while the transmission shifts silky smooth. A recent Shaken sticker (Japanese inspection) indicates the vehicle was roadworthy and driven up until recently. The glove-box contains the factory owner's manual and all previous maintenance records.
The interior is exceptionally clean and fully loaded with power amenities. The dash has no cracks, bubbles, or significant flaws. The seats and door panels show minimal wear and no major rips or tears. The carpet and headliner follow suit and are free of severe stains.
