Car description

This is a fine example of a 1991 Suzuki Cappuccino in excellent physical and mechanical condition. This a RHD JDM vehicle that was legally imported into the US under the 25 year exemption rule by Duncan Imports of Virginia, from whom I purchased it in 2017. I chose this example because it is in great condition and, unlike many Cappuccinos on the market, has not been modified in any way. It currently shows 15,400 km on the five digit odometer (actually 115,400 km since the odometer has rolled over). This equates to 71,550 miles. This car drives really well in every respect. It starts easily, runs, steers, changes gear, stops exactly as it should. The bodywork is in excellent condition with no rust, and the folding hardtop roof operates properly. There are a few very minor blemishes, as to be expected for its age. The interior is also in excellent condition with no rips, tears or significant wear. A major service was undertaken this spring, including oil change (high quality synthetic oil), new air filter, and timing belt replacement (new timing belt, water pump, tensioner, seals and service belts). The few minor known faults are as follows:
  • Second gear synchromesh is a little weak (meaning the change from first to second can't be rushed)
  • There is a small (1/4 inch) blemish on the upper left side of the windshield (not a crack or chip, just a mark)
  • Each of the headlights has a small stone chip repair
  • The electric window motors are a little tired (both operate fully up and down, but are somewhat slow)
This car is a blast to drive. It is quick rather than fast, but is so small and close to the ground that it feels faster that it is. It has all round independent suspension, rear wheel drive, 50/50 weight distribution and unassisted steering, so the handling is outstanding. The engine pulls really well on boost, and revs ridiculously high.
Note that this really is a tiny vehicle. It's only 10'10" long and 4'7" wide. I'm 5'10' with a 32" inseam and I fit in the car just fine with the seat all the way back. If you're much taller than that or have longer legs, you may not fit comfortably.
Vehicle is sold as is, where is with no warranty expressed or implied. Inspections are welcomed. Vehicle has a clean Colorado title in my name. Payment in full required prior to taking delivery. Payment via PayPal is acceptable if the buyer pays all PayPal fees in addition to the purchase price.
