You are bidding on a rare 1964 Studebaker Avanti, 2 Avanti V8 Engine, ower Shift Auto Transmission and Power Steering.

(1 of only 281) - 1964 Avanti built. If you want an original Red Supercharged Avanti that year, nly 52 were made.

This car was originally from Long Beach CA. The under carriage and hog troughs are very solid without any rust issues.

This car needs a full restoration and not for faint of heart, ut would be an awesome car when restored! There are numerous fiberglass cracks and repairs needed. Luckily new fenders, ront end and needed fiberglass parts are reproduced-

A rare supercharged Avanti project.

What it needs:

This car sat for many years, o you will want to go through everything for a full restoration. We carefully soaked the cylinders and it turned over easily, o we got it to fire up and runs nicely with good oil pressure, ut is missing the supercharger and didn't have correct carburetor.

Nice running R2 engine had the following done:

· New Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carburetor (with electric choke)

· New Air Filter

· Pertronix Electronic Ignition

· New Coil

· New Spark Plugs

· New Distributor Cap

· New Spark Plug Wires

· New Oil & Filter

We put new fluid in the transmission but it didn't shift into gear. The gas tank likely needs to be cleaned, o we ran fuel from small gas can as you see in the video.

After we got the engine running and knew it was good, e put the car into storage as a future project.

The original stainless ignition shielding and some parts are in the trunk for new owner along with a new lower front fiberglass replacement piece. Even the FM radio is quite rare.

It's registered with a WA. State title (without plates/tabs), ut still has California plates on it.

1964 was the last year for the sporty Studebaker Avanti and a very fast car with when ordered with a supercharged R2 engine.
