Car description

Please allow me to introduce you to my 1955 Studebaker President Hardtop. The car is best describedas being somewherealong the linesof being a survivorand a restored car. 259 V8 4 barrel, speed automatic with locking torque converter{overdrive} .Power steering, nd power brakes.Restored? not really as this car never needed a restoration. It is in such condition that the casual looker believes it to be restored but fact isthat it is more of the survivor type.It is bout rust free as they come. Not a patched up car at all. Solid as they come. With just a minimum of care it will present itself in many years to come just as it does now. All systems are a go. A turn key specimine that I have confidence in driving any distanceI like without breaking down on me. When I got the car it was in great shape but me being a handicapped individual decided tobe on thesure sideso as toavoidmaladies on the road leaving me in a bad way. Since my tenure, I have replaced the distributor with a remanufactured Delco window type, new coil, oltage regulator, oints, plugs, ires, oses, ebuilt generator, remanufactured alcohol resistant fuel pump, uxiliary electric pump and acomplete aluminum dual exhaust system with quiet tone mufflers. Gas tank cleaned and prepped. The odometer reads somewhere in the 80,000 range but you wouldn't suspect it to bejust from looking and driving it. Previous owners I would say took great care in pampering this car.Starts quickly when cold or warmed up. Doesn't get hot. Good oil pressure. Drives down the road true. Smooth shifting and great brakes. I would suggest that the engine has been freshened up because it runs so smoothly and quietly.Interior has been redone in a period correct theme. Suspension is up topar, o worn out components. Engine is nicely detailed.I don't buy or sell junk so bid withcomplete confidence. Please call me with any questions. We can have a forthright conversation about this car. I am a 30+ year member of the Studebaker Drivers Club and have this car available onlybecause I am losing storage space. You can be in the drivers seat of this car forway way less than you would invest in a fixer upper type. Jim 334 792 4323
