Car description

Cobras are special to just about everyone and seeing one on the road is always an event. And if you want to be seen-Yellow is the color. Even if you don't know a thing about cars, you know that this 1966 Cobra replica is a very fast car. This one is a one owner, originally 289/4 speed. Complete rebuild now packs a new 347 stroker roller motor for brutal acceleration, a TKO 5-speed for super-quick shifts, fresh paint and new interior for a fit and finish rarely seen on modern Cobras.
The new and bright yellow paint was applied just 178 miles ago and is a great attention-grabbing shade inspired by Carol Shelby's driver, Allen Grant's #96 racer. True to that homage black stripes were added to complete the killer look. Finish quality is excellent and you can see the extra time that went into prepping the surface for that shiny, show-quality yellow paint. With a Classic Roadster body you get extra thick, top-notch fiberglass, along with real Ford door hinges, door latches, and hood latch, so everything is incredibly sturdy, using a non-flex boxed frame, so it will continue to stand the test of time. The side pipes add even more bright hardware to flow with the look of the rest of the roadster, the windshield is Lexan competition, there are wind wings and tinted visors, and the thick-wall roll bar is FIA height for proper helmet clearance. It shows that someone took care of this car and treated it like was always something special.
The restoration nailed the brand new interior as well, with supportive low-back black buckets that really grab and hold you while you're running hard. The diamond pattern with yellow stitching is a nice custom touch that matches the exterior. Full carpets over Dyno Mat and Jute with diamond-patterned floor mats help control noise and heat. A wood-rimmed Moto-Lite steering wheel adds a period-perfect touch. Stewart Warner gauges, including a reverse-rotation speedometer also copy the original gauges. The TKO 500 transmission has a forward lever position with an added short-shifter kit. Pure performance, which is just the way God and Ol' Shel himself intended. The trunk is rather nicely finished in black carpets over Dyno Mat and the same rubber diamond pattern mat that was used for the floor mats, and they're neatly tailored to fit just right.
Cobras will accept just about any engine you can imagine, but the one everyone expects to see is a Ford V8. This is a new built 347 cubic inch stroker roller motor (chosen because of the 200+ pound weight savings over a 427). It has been augmented with a high-output Compcam roller cam and lifters, Keith Black pistons, Forged crank and rods, Voodo rockers, Double oil filters, Edelbrock aluminum heads, an Edelbrock Victor intake, and a 700 CFM Holley carburetor. It spins a Performance light flywheel, Stage 3 and 4 ceramic plate and pressure plate. New Fast Shaft drive shaft, Ford 8.8 differential with hardened axles, 4:10 ratio, and Ford Racing axle girdles. To keep her cool, there is an aluminum radiator, electric fan, oil cooler with stainless plumbing and high capacity water pump. An oval Cobra air cleaner and bright valve covers with 347 badges top her off. It is incredibly clean under the hood with a purposeful look that Cobras are supposed to have.
Upgrades to the suspension have been added like adjustable QA1 coil overs in front, rack-and-pinion steering, and Monroe gas shocks and a rear sway bar out back. Wilwood power disc brakes and Wilwood slotted rotors at each corner and outfitted with gorgeous Edelbrock Halibrand-style knock-offs with staggered 235/60/15 front and 295/50/15 rear Firestone Hawk Indy 500 radials that complete the look. (Tires are reversible for white lettering)
Built for the street but easily converted to a racer, this Cobra is built to show standards and a lot more exciting than many of the replicas out there. CALL TODAY!
