Car description

Cobra replicas are perhaps the most performance per dollar you can get anywhere, and this nicely built roadster has a sinister look and serious blasting powder under the hood, just as you'd expect. Built less than 5k miles ago, it's in great shape and ready to enjoy, all at a bargain price. Ever wonder which cars are the most fun to drive in our inventory? Well, stop wondering, the answer is always COBRA. The Classic Roadsters... Cobra kit takes a few liberties with the original Cobra's specs, all in the name of comfort. With four more inches in the wheelbase, two extra inches in width, and doors that are six inches longer than the stocker, it's far, far easier to get comfortable inside. But the changes are not immediately apparent unless there's a real Cobra nearby (good luck finding one), and honestly, at this point does it even matter? The slick black paint isn't as in-your-face like most Cobras and they added matte stripes separated by a red pinstripe to look a bit more sinister, a look we like a great deal. Finish quality is very good and you can see the extra time that went into prepping the surface for that shiny black paint. The side pipes have been blacked-out to flow with the look of the rest of the roadster, the windshield is Lexan, and the builders opted to forgo roll bars for a very streamlined look. It's got 4,660 miles on the build and it shows that someone took care of this car and treated it like something special. Inside, there's no question this is a driver's car. Vinyl black buckets with red-stitched Cobra inserts in the headrests have been installed, giving it a very sporty look that provides plenty of bolster support and comfortable material for longer drives. But it's far from minimalist in there, with black carpeted floors and a dash painted to match the exterior, as well as installed electric door poppers. A wood-rimmed steering wheel is a modern update on an old Shelby favorite, along with a full set of black-faced VDO and gauges that have been slightly canted to show their correct needle positions as straight-up so they're easy to read at a glance. Cool! The big B&M shifter has a cool 8-ball shift ball up top and manages a C4 3-speed automatic, making this Cobra a real weapon in traffic and accessible to a wide array of potential drivers. It even has a modern AM/FM/CD player for open-air tunes and there's a nicely finished trunk out back with ample storage space. Horsepower is a non-issue thanks to a built 302 V8 under the hood. In a lightweight Cobra, performance is impressive and the sound is even better thanks to a fairly lopey cam. Dressed up with some correct Cobra details like the long, finned air cleaner and matching valve covers, the engine bay is purposeful and functional, with good service access, and you can tell they focused on getting the important stuff right. The engine springs to life easily thanks to an HEI ignition, an Edelbrock AirGap intake, and a polished Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor that all work together to keep this Cobra running in tip-top shape. Heat-wrapped headers feed the split side-pipe exhaust, and if you've never heard the rumble from a good set of side-pipe exhaust, you're in for quite a ear-drum rattling treat. A Mustang II front suspension and rack-and-pinion steering make it corner like it's on rails, while a robust 8.8-inch rear axle hangs on Mustang-style trailing arms in back. Thanks to the quick-shifting automatic, the 4.11 gears out back offer explosive acceleration, Cobra style. There's power front disc brakes that provide great stopping power and the shiny wheels are Billet Specialties and look right on a vintage snake. The tires are retro-style 26.5x8.0x15 Goodyear Eagle Racing with old-school lettering for an awesome vintage vibe. There are a lot of Cobra replicas out there, but not many combine this much quality and high-end hardware with such an affordable price tag. Call today!
