Car description

KIRKHAM 427SC

KMP 373

Almost New!

Awesome!

"There is nothing nice about a Cobra. It is stripped down to the essentials- a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires to keep the whole business on pavement. Its loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every 10 minutes. It’s so damn wonderful that you can’t believe it" Automobile Magazine 2004

Overview:

Spring is here! Here is an opportunity for those that want the Best of the Best.

I have owned three of the few fully-optioned, best of the best Kirkhams in existence. I have owned Kirkham KMP 491, KMP 504, and Kirkham KMP 373. My wife would not drive KMP 504, so it is now in Houston, Texas. Last year, two men began a bidding war of KMP 491, a car that was not for sale. At the end of the conversation, there was a pile of money on the table, so I sold KMP 491. The KMP 491 car just sold again on ebay at our asking price – look at the link to see how nice this car was finished / built by me.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Shelby-Cobra-Kirkham-/162157539720?forcerrptr=true&hash=item25c157b188%3Ag%3AKaoAAOSwCfdXoiE9&item=162157539720&nma=true&si=1vCD8GgnhQlPXGrNBNOXjniHvt8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I now have KMP 373 which has four items beyond my first two cars – a dropped footbox (for which I have made raised inserts), adjustable seats (that sit low), a Vortech supercharger and pit stripes / roundos. The KMP 373 car is at minimum equal cosmetically to the KMP 491, but has even more horsepower, more options, and a sharper sound bite.

These vehicles are clearly works of art and engineering marvels (I am an engineer). These cars have a real mirror-like finish. The Kirkhams have hundreds of hours in preparing this car and doing a good job. In addition, I have hundreds of hours polishing them (I am a perfectionist and quite capable with my hands) via a lengthy cyclo-polishing with a specialized aircraft polisher and cleaner to eliminate the typical “swirl” issues with these cars. I do not think many, if any, are my equal in finishing these.

The final finish is so “sweet” that it allows you to read the fine print on the newspaper on a cloudy day! No paint can do this!

I am offering KMP 373. I have a private car collection to which I typically only add cars. Hard assets are safe and are performing much less volatile than the stock market. I am very successful and postured very well in the current market, so please understand that this is by no means a fire sale. I have several Corvettes and Vipers. I am currently making room for a perfect 2013 GTS Launch Edition Viper and another Ford GT Supercar. I am also buying in other cars for my collection, so contact me if you have any deals on truly collectable cars. If I sell this car I will start to build another when a body becomes available through Kirkham (everyone has to have a hobby).

Pictures and details are provided below. Many pictures (lots of really cool ones) and additional information are available to real buyers upon request. An Italian, French, Arabic, and Spanish translator is available (if needed) to help answer any questions and reduce communication problems.

Both cars are virtually the same. KMP 373 is nearly new and only has 2600 miles on the odometer. This cars is listed in the most recent version of SAAC's World Registry of Cobras and GT40s. If you are the lucky new owner, I will also educate you on the car and provide guidance on how to properly operate it. These are not cars for novice drivers.

The Details:

This All-American Muscle Car is a 1965 Ford 427FE Cobra SC Roadster 427FE replica and is titled. Iconic of the era of high-performance cars, but with significantly improved engineering, materials, and performance. All of the bugs have been worked out.

This is the Best of the Best of the cars produced today. Better than Shelby in 1965 and Shelby in 2015. Sorry, no offense Shelby owners, but if you have an aluminum body, it is probably from Kirkham.

This car is ready for the drag strip, road race, street race, or general touring. With a polished aluminum body, black side pipes, Billboard tires, 750+ HP Shelby CSX Aluminum #528 427FE Side-Oiler Engine, and Tremec 5-Speed, you will be turning heads and bruising egos. It has a race car look to it. At 2500 miles, Motorcars International (the previous owner) had Kim Barr (an engine expert) pull the engine, check all tolerances, reassembled it, and then reinstalled it.

This car is tested and tuned. This car just went through a complete polish update and a general car refresh.

Also included is a brand new California Car Cover that has yet to be on a car and all documentation available. A second set of 15” Billboards are included with the car (many love these wheels, I do not because of how they feel on the road). A third set of brand new 17” DOT racing tires / wheels are available if interested. These were for the 504 car I previously built. The car is a fully optioned street / race car.

Take advantage of current US Dollar – Euro conversion rate. Own it for less than it would cost in the States. Just get into it and drive it – if you can! Own your own piece of Americana. These cars are hot and this opportunity will not last long. This is the 50th anniversary for the Shelby Cobra!

Delivery is not included in this cost. Ships from Central Maryland / Washington, DC, USA. An Italian, French, Arabic, and Spanish translator is available for questions.

Power-to-Weight Ratio: 2,140 pound / 750 horsepower anatomy makes my Dodge Viper and my Ford GT twin turbo feel very tame by comparison. You cannot imagine how spectacularly fast this serpent is until you drive it. The aluminum flywheel provides instant power. When you exit the car you have the same feeling as three hours of killer sex. Well, almost.

The car is awesome! It has been meticulously maintained, never been scratched, and is absolutely beautiful. You would spend over $140,000 to gather the parts for this awesome aluminum, fully-optioned beauty (www.kirkhammotorsports.com), then you would have to properly polish it again at about $12,000, have built a supercharged big block and Tremec transmission for $38,000, you would have to assemble it at about $10,000, and you would have to ship it at $2,000. This totals you out at $204,000 – but only if one is available timely from Kirkham, which they are not. The 50th anniversary Shelby cars (aluminum Kirkham) are well above this amount.

This deal sounds like a no-brainer!

I have other high-end collectable cars that I may consider selling - Ford GTs, Launch Edition Viper GTS, DB9, 1957 Chevy Restomods, etc. I may also consider a partial trade on a like collectible car.
