Car description

~1975 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow~
This car needs nothing done to it, just enjoy
Runs and drives perfectly, engine is quiet and tranny shiftssmoothly. Plenty of upgrades including electric ignition, rebuilt the entirehydraulic brake system, upgraded the a/c to a more modern less expensive and safer freon, new tires and a freshly done full detail inside and out.
All paperwork andreceipts, includes all books and manuals, original tool kit bill of sale from Park Ward and more.
This is amongst the last of the Silver Shadow Long Wheel Bases ("LWB”) made. It can be confidently said that the 1975-76 year manufactured Silver Shadows were the best of the series as they incorporated all of the technological and design enhancements developed over the life of the model (1966-76). Being a LWB it represented the penultimate of the series.
This one is finished in the factory original color "Cardinal Red" with black Connolly leather interior with burgundy piping and floor rugs in the reverse theme piped in black. The car is finished with hand-painted fine-lines in silver on the body waist-line and the hub-cap trim rings. The color is a stunning combination with the Cardinal Red presenting as a mid bordeaux colour under typical light but then transforms into a deep burgundy hue in lower light and at night time, giving the car a very formal look. The black leather finished off with burgundy piping sets the interior off perfectly. The carpets in the reverse theme, exquisitely set off the interior.

The body on the car is straight and the paint is very nice. It was a California doctors car for most of its life then my family purchased it fromPark Ward Motors.
It was professionally repainted 10 years so it presents well. It was a complete repaint with all chrome off and door jams done correctly. The quality is so good, it is clearly a high-end job ($15,000+). The paint is perfect - completely consistent, high in luster and no signs of any over-spray on any externally fitted part. In fact, all chrome - work is so deep in luster, that I am certain they were all highly buffed and polished during the repaint phase (grille, finishes, door sills, hubcaps, etc). The Everflex vinyl top is original factory fitment, has never been changed and in excellent condition without any signs of underlying moisture issues which are otherwise typical of these cars.
This being a LWB, it is 4" longer than the standard saloon with this extra space being offered for the benefit of rear seat passengers. The car has its original rear seat foot-rests. Long Wheel Base cars are easily identified by their unique smaller rear window and factory Everflex top.
The interior of the car is in stunning condition with the original black Connolly hide leather. The leather has never been re-dyed or repaired. Excellent testament to its relatively low mileage. The leather is soft and supple. All the wood is in excellent condition and appears to be mostly original. With little signs of the typical cracking in the lacquer coating that you normally would expect, this is not only unusual but a further "positive" of the car having been well maintained andgarage kept its entire life. The headliner is very good and the carpet excellent. The deep grain and glossy finish off the rich grained wood in this example combined with the regal burgundy offset black interior make the interior of this car very rich and inviting.
All interior features and functions are fully operational including all power seats, windows, gauges and clock all work*. The A/C blows ice cold and heater working well. Everything is also clean and the entire car was professionally detailed inside and out. *It has its original push-button radio and factory installed 8-track cassette - "but they are no longer working and who has any 8 track tapes anymore". A smallseparate audio system with bluetooth and FM radio come with the car. *Also due the theinherent problems during production the cruise control has beendeactivated.
The chrome and bright work is stunning without any pitting and the rubber seals around the car are great.
Mechanically, the car is in superior condition and the presentation under the bonnet and under carriage clearly shows that this cars engine was maintained properly from the originalowner to Park Wards Motors to my family. This is not a show car (concourse)therefore we saw no need todetail the engine or undercarriage we put the all the money into maintenance and completelyrebuilding the brake system (yes the dreaded $6k job), its done and the car will provide many years of safe stopping power. Car has had all of itsmaintenance work completed by a professionalmechanic with 30 years of Rolls Royce experience.
