Low mileage Corniche II convertible

We are delighted to offer this exceptionally well cared for 1987 Rolls Royce Corniche II fresh from long term and cherished ownership. With just 46,540 miles from new, the car drives beautifully and needs nothing but a new home.

When new our Corniche was serviced at Rolls Royce of Palm Springs, then later at Rolls Royce Motor Cars Newport Beach. In April 2006 the car was undergoing a major service at Rolls Royce Motor Cars Newport Beach when it was spotted and purchased by the current owner. In addition to routine servicing, the work performed at that time included replacement of the upper and lower ball joints and front suspension bushings, as well as new engine mounts. In addition to the mechanical work, all of the interior wood was removed and refinished to factory standards. At the completion of this work, the mileage was documented as 44,755.

The new owner then shipped the car to Austin, Texas, adding just 2,000 miles during his twelve years of ownership. Despite being used so sparingly, the car was regularly serviced to ensure that it did not suffer from extended periods of inactivity. Within the last hundred miles we have serviced and upgraded the air conditioning, which works perfectly. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive and copes easily with the 100 degree Texas summer heat.

Cosmetically, the car should be considered ahigh quality driver. There is evidence of previous paintwork on the front wings, and there are a few areas where the paint is checking slightly. There are also some minor nicks and imperfections at the rear edges of the doors. Having said that, considering the car is now almost 32 years old, the paintwork is perfectly presentable. The interior is in excellent condition, with virtually perfect walnut trim and acres of tan hides that show only minimal wear. The door panels and dash are in truly exceptional condition. The power convertible top is in good condition and operates swiftly and smoothly, and the matching leather soft top boot is also in excellent condition.

This exceptional Corniche is a well maintained car in superb mechanical shape and very good cosmetic condition. It drives virtually like a new car and I would not hesitate flying in and driving her home.
