Car description

Up for bids is a 1987 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit. The car is in great condition with only 46k original miles. It's a well preserved original car. There has been over $5,000 in mechanical work done to the car recently at a local shop that specializes in British cars. The car runs great. It has a brand new radiator. The thermo-time sensor had to be replaced to correct a starting issue. The water temp sending unit was replaced. The hydraulic system is in good shape. The hydraulic pumps work fine and the accumulators are in great shape and not in need of replacing. The rear nitrogen spheres are also in great shape and the car floats down the road like it should. The rear gas springs do leak a little mineral oil when the car is up on the lift but when its sitting on floor with the weight on the wheels they do not. The break pressure warning lights on the dash go out right after you start the engine. No other warning lights are on either. I have the fuel pump connected to a toggle switch under the dash near the hood release handle so the fuel pump can be controlled manually. This was done to correct a problem with a relay in the trunk that controls the fuel pump. This could also be viewed as a security feature so nobody can steal the car. When I connected the fuel pump to the toggle switch I also installed an inertia switch in the trunk for safety in the event of a collision. The car also has 4 new tires and a new battery. The climate control system works great and the a/c blows cold air. The interior is really nice with only a little wear on the bottom part of the driver's seat. The door panels are great with no cracks in the leather. The wood trim is still quite presentable but there are a few cracks in the finish on the dash. The paint is in good shape overall. There is a spot on the right side above the back window where the paint is slightly cracked. There is also a small scratch on the passenger side front door. This car attracts a lot of attention where ever it goes. I've had it in a few shows this past summer and it was a lot of fun. I'm only selling it to thin out my collection and clear some space in my garage. The car has a clear PA title. I had it licensed and titled as an antique vehicle. The buyer will be responsible for shipping charges and arrangements. I will sell the car to residents of the United States only! No foreign bidders please!!
