1977 PORSCHE 911-S TARGA. 2.7 LITER. FRESHLY REBUILT ENGINE. EXCELLENT ORIGINAL

Offered for sal, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this excellent 911-S Targa finished in it's original and desirable silver with black factory color scheme. This car was just purchased from it's seller in Colorado who recently had the engine rebuilt by a local 911 specialist there. It's a largely original and well-preserved car with only one believed single repaint and still retains it's original black interior in very good condition. It drives fantastically well.The body on this car looks excellent with nice panel gaps. There is no evidence of rust found anywhere on the car. Paintwork is newer and appears to be a very nice quality job finished in basecoat/clearcoat. The car's glass is all excellent with a newer windshield fitted. Rubber is very nice and was mostly replaced after the new paintwork. Wheels look great overall and with nice Goodyear radial tires fitted.The interior on the car appears to be all original. It's in wonderful condition overall except for a small split on the inside seam on the passenger seat, which should be a straightforward repair. The Targa roof is in great condition. The original door panels and dashboard top pad look very good. The rear seat area looks good except for a few small carpet stains. The car is still fitted with it's original carpet set and steering wheel.Mechanically, the car is excellent. The rebuilt engine starts easily on the key and revs well. It appears to have been fitted with an upgraded exhaust system that increases the standard horsepower and sounds great. The car's gearbox is very precise with good syncros. Brakes, clutch, and suspension feel very good and up to the mark. It's a fantastic and fun performer out on the road with plenty of power from a liquid-smooth and strong power plant. The car has no mechanical issues. PLEASE SEE DRIVING VIDEO.The car's underside is bone-dry and rustfree. There isn't even any sign of rust under the battery area and the front suspension pick up points are perfect. The under hood front and engine compartment shows excellent and whistle clean.Overall, an impressive and well-preserved 911-S in great factory colors. This collectible air-cooled Targa is a rare find in this super condition, and is a sensible buy in this market going forward.
