Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very complete and original 356 SC Coupe. This car was shipped from the factory in Light Ivory with a Red interior on September 17, 1964 to an American hospital worker in Berlin. We purchased this car from it's recent seller in Michigan, an older gentleman, who attempted to restore it a few years back but didn't really get too far. A few items were removed/disassembled and carefully labeled and boxed.We believe it to be very complete and is quite a desirable car when finished with it's original matching numbers engine.The body and undercarriage on this car is rusty. It's going to need a complete stripdown to the bare bodyshell, a good shotblasting inside and out, and a total rebuilding of most all of it's usual rust areas. This is best left to a good and experienced 356 metal repair specialist. But because of the car's finished value, we believe it's a viable and worthwhile project. The body has sustained a small bump in the rear, which is easily repaired. Panel fit is quite decent and the doors, hood, and trunk appear to be the original ones.The car looks to be very complete with good glass, it's original chrome and aluminum trim, lights, and the car's interior trim looks to be all highly original and present. The car includes it's spare rim.The car's matching numbers SC engine turns nicely by hand with oil up to the mark, and may run with a little bit of effort. It appears to have never been out of the car...Overall, a very interesting 356 SC Coupe in nice colors with an original and rare German delivery. This car would make a fantastic and valuable investment once finished.
