Car description

1989 Porshe 944 with 2.7 L engine produced only this year. Only 5652 of this model were delivered to the U.S., and are one of the harder ones to find for sale, especially in this good of a condition.

Garage kept, withfolder of maintenance records from previous owner at Porshe dealership from 28,000 milesincluded. Original widow price sticker included. CARFAX report from 2003 prior (1st owner to 28,000).

2.7L engin, bore of 104mm stroke of 78.9mm has a significant increase in torque, 11% more than the 2.5 L. In addition to the increase in displacement, the new engine featured a siamesed-cylinder block design and a different cylinder head which incorporated larger valves.

Interior :

Nearly perfect, no creases or distress in leather seat, floors and cargo carpets and mats like new. Dash and all panels in great shape.

Leather on steering wheel and shifter like new, no distress or sun damage.

Door panels and rest of interior like new. Interior condition is one of the main reasons I bought this car.

Interior dome and cargo light bulbs upgraded to LED 6000k white, 70 lumen.

Engine:

Total top-end head and front rebuild:

Piston tops cleaned of carbon

Cylinders inspected for wear or grooves, no wear seen

Valves cleaned, polished, and lapped

Injectors measured for opening travel to spec., new seals & caps

Head machined for flatness

Lifters flushed and cleaned

New Victor Reintz / Felpro head gasket set

New Conti-Tech timing / balance belt & rollers kit

Original radiator, very clean inside, coolant flushed & replaced.

Water pump was replaced at 60,000 miles

New 750 amp battery

New oil drain plug, oil, & filter

New hood struts

You can see from the photos how clean the engine bay is.

Running gear:

Wheels stripped to original primer, new primer, 2 coats of PPG color base - Pacific Pewte, 2 coats of clear-coat.

New tires - General Altimax RT43, great all season tires that I run on all my cars

10 new aluminum lug nuts on front wheels

Almost new Porshe original front rotors & pads - no rust

Rear rotors and pads in good condition lots of life left.

Body:

Paint in great condition

New clear lenses on fog lights

LED upgrade on all 6 tail light bulbs ( signal, back-up, & tail) 486 lumen, bright white 6000K

Head lights upgraded to Hella Euopean lamps with PIAA XTREME white H4 bulbs at

87,000 miles.

Pop-up / removable roof fully operational, seal is in great condition.

The ABS brake light is on. I have not tried to diagnose it because ABS is not important to me.

When I bought the car it would not start. It turned out to be the anti-theft electronic module. I bypassed it. A repaired or replaced module would make it operable again (original module included) . Again, that was not important to me, I live in a very low crime area.

I invite serious interested buyers to inspect this car in person before buying to see how good it is. Contact me to arrange an inspection. I bought this car because of the condition of the body/ paint and the interior. It is a great daily driver weekend car. The attorney that had it before used it as his daily driver for years. No low-ball offer, please.
