Car description

1985 Porsche 930 Slantnose

This 1985 Porsche 930 Turbo left the factory in European (Germany) specification and was imported to the US where it received an all-steel M505 slantnose conversion in the mid-late 1980s. The front bumper is made of fiberglass. The conversion was professionally done at The Paint Shop in Burbank by Porsche guru Angelo Pino and Jack Kimoto applied the Guards red paint on the steel fenders and front bumper.

The odometer now shows 15,2XX miles, and power comes from the original turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six paired to the original 4-speed transaxle. Factory options include a limited-slip differential, electric sunroof, black leather interior, and right side electric mirror. This Porsche is now being offered with a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA), and a clean California title in the seller's name. This car has been in the family since the mid-late 80's and was only driven on rare occasions such as local car shows, and Sunday brunch.

Outside, the 30+ year-old Guards Red partial repaint remains in nice shape, with a few small imperfections as shown in the images. There is no rust on this car. This 930 is equipped with a set of 16″ Fuchs forged alloy wheels featuring machined lips and black spokes. There is light curb-rash present on the rims, one rim has noticeable scrub, and two rims have minor scrubbing. A set of 225/50 series front and 245/50 rear Toyo Proxes 4 tires are currently mounted.

The black leather interior is in good condition. This car has been stored indoors, under a car cover, over the past 25+ years.

The transmission has minor oil seepage past the axle seals and it is recommended that these be replaced. Valve-covers show very minor seepage, these could be replaced.

The car drives well, engines pulls strong and idles nice. Cold start is problem free and the car settles into a steady rpm immediately after starting. The currently installed exhaust system is a free flowing system made by Borla. The factory exhaust system will be included in the sale. The car-cover will also be included.

The Certificate of Authenticity lists factory options, the original color combination, and the engine/transmission/chassis numbers. The Carfax and AutoDNA reports shows no accidents or incidents and either report is available upon request.
