Car description

Up for sale is a Factory built 1992 Carerra RS
It is 1 of 72 Right Hand drive models produced out of the total production of 1992 RS's.
VIN#WPOZZZ96ZNS490637
Originally Black from the factory, this RS quickly turned into a full blown race car back in the day. A cage was fully installed from front to rear and most of the sheetmetal was converted to fiberglass 993 style.
This RS suffered an engine fire and then traded hands thru a few mechanics before I purchased it.
It has JRZ adjustable shocks with remote reservoirs.....I would think the rears have gotten warm from the engine fire.
There are many parts I have in storage that come with the car that I have not photographed......race seat, quick disconnect steering wheel, all of the steering linkage, drive shafts, misc fiberglass dash and aero pieces. rear lexan qtr windows, racing fuel cell, brand new ABS pump.
Also, I have a full harness out of a stock 964 to replace the missing (burned) harness that was in it.
There is no engine and no transmission. I believe the shifter is there but that's it.
You really should come look at what is there with the car before you bid.
I have a photo of what the car looked like stock as well as its first incarnation to Turbo Wide body, then to its last incarnation. I have a log book that came with it but there is not a whole lot in it. I will post more photos of these items shortly.
The last owner purchased the rear 993 style bumpers, rockers, and Qtr panels new from GT-Racing and never installed them.
All of the fiberglass bodywork in the photos is only hanging there....it is NOT bolted on.
Like many of us, I have WAY too many projects and have never gotten around to this one........This could be a good start to keep it a historic race car....I would guess that it would fit into certain categories that a stock 964 would not but this is just a guess.
I do not have a title and it will be sold with a bill of sale only.
Please ask questions before you bid.
This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
I will sell this internationally but shipping/pick up arrangements are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
The chassis is located in Beacon Falls, CT.
Thanks!!
