Car description

I'm selling this beautiful 1980 911SC which I have owned for the last 14 years. It originally had 112,000 miles on it and I've added 14,889 more.

Because the body is rust-free and has no signs of damage, I have concentrated on restoring it to the full power it had when new. For the first 6 years it was cared for by Chris Musante, of Musante Motor Sports in South Windsor, CT. Chris and his team rebuilt the drive train - engine, clutch, transmission and dyno tested it. During that period, all known updates on the engine were done, and the suspension was upgraded to racing suspension. I wanted to learn skill driving and this car is perfect because it can corner like a cheetah and pull at least as strong as a lion. Improvements made by or through Chris and team:

Engine rebuild

Clutch replace

Transmission lower gears replaced

Odometer rebuilt

Targa top rebullt and reconditioned

Fuel distributor rebuilt and replaced.

Fuel sender replaced

Dual Stainless Steel Exhaust headers

Custom dual muffler (sweet, street legal sound)

Full Custom Roll Cage with High Density padding

Recaro Seats with 5 point harnesses

Mocal 50 row Oil Cooler

Replaced temp gauge with calibrated sender & gauge

Racing Suspension

Strut tower brace added

Air scoops on brakes

I enjoyed getting the car up to full power and drove it on the road and for about a total of 7 Driver's Ed 2 day events. Family and business kept me from going full into DE, but the car is a thrill beyond description. It can out-drive much newer and more powerful 911's on a small track like Lime Rock or even on Watkins Glen if the driver learns to use the corners.

The next 8 years the car was cared for Skipper Hull of Little Foreign Car Garage in Waltham, MA. Skipper and his team:

Replaced brake calipers, rotors, pads and many brake lines.

Replaced full Engine Wire harness

Pulled engine and resealed, replaced clutch

Replaced air box, popoff valve, and most rubber hoses

Replaced rocker shafts

Rebuilt heater boxes

Replaced oil sender

R&R original seat belts for road driving

The paint is not original but it looks sharp except for a spot on front bumper. The car was originally an unusual brownish-auburn color which the previous owner repainted white. It came to me with a fiberglass cover on the dash. I never used the A/C but its components are all original.

I wanted a car I could enjoy on the street so it has a sound system with dual speakers on the rear deck with a CD radio/amplifier. On the street I use the original seat belts.

It starts on the first crank and is a smooth-running machine. The engine is dry, no leaks.

Front wheels are 7" Fuchs with Potenza RE-11, 205/55 R16 and rear wheels are 8" Fuchs with Potenza RE-11, 245/45 R16. Tires have less than 800 miles on them.

It has been garaged the entire time I've had it. This car has a professionally restored set of mechanicals that will make your day if driving is in your blood. It will also turn heads.

I will cooperate for shipment as along as buyer takes care of all arrangements. If an overseas buyer makes all the export arrangements, I'll consider selling outside the US.
