History

Clean title, never in a wreck, original California car it's whole life. Sat under a pole barn since 81' due to a bad motor from second owner. I purchased it in 2014 from a estate sale and the third owner, restored it upon purchasing and it has been sitting in the garage since then. We drive it on sunny California weekends or when feel like having a little automotive driving fun. Originally a 1700 motor, upgraded to 1800cc with the original fuel injection and systems. runs and drives as a porsche should!

Condition

The car was restored a few years ago by me, as I did all of the work. I replaced the rear pan section related seat hinges and brackets. I did this by drilling out all the original welds and reinstalling new ones. Other than that just very minor rust restoration on the rest of the body and frame as you can see in the pictures. I also rebuilt the typical "hell hole" on both sides in the engine bay and added a drain to prevent this common problem in design in the future. After replacing this sheet metal It was coated in rubber for rust prevention. Also, I reworked the battery tray and made it thicker and stronger and coated the bottom in tar as well. After all that, I wire brushed all undercarriage'ssurface rust and re coatedwith tar sound deading spray to re seal the underside. It's Super clean and rust free as you can see in the pictures now. The longitudinalare perfect and all original and nothing was needed fix besides knocking off some minor surface rust and reseal. All doors open and close as they should with NO sag or issues. Trunk rollers replaced and springs fixed. All body panels line up and close evenly. No issues with rust or corrosion on the doors

Inward, the vinyl seats are NOS in great condition along with the dash but it has one crack that has been filled, original door panels and map pocket and handles, new carpets. Again, considering the mileage and age and the fact that it was driven often, the interior shows little wear. An updated CD player is in the car and actually sounds great too with 4" woofers and tweeters under the dash. The targa top is original and reconditioned but shows minor wear spots from riding in its cradle in the trunk as that's where it lives most of the time. No manuals are with the car but there are two keys included.

Mechanicals

This 914 is gone through with new accelerator cables, clutch cables, all new rubber, plastic high pressure modern gas lines, vacuumhoses, heater hoses, all you name it it was replaced. The car freeems down the freeway at 80! No issues. The tie rods and ball joints were replaced a year ago alongwith the chassis rubber bushings in the front, back are ok still. The shocks and springs were replaced as well. New starter and battery as well in the past year or so. Starts up right away and off you go!

Also, the mileage that is shown is original!!
Please don't hesitate to ask questions or arrange inspection!! This car will sell at the end of this auction!!
