Car description

You are bidding on a 1972 Porsche 914 that is very original, its a numbers matching 914 with certificate of authenticity for validation.This 914 was purchased in Sacramento Ca. in 1972 by the original owner who I acquired it from a couple years ago. Owner was in his 70's and only drove this car less than 500 miles a year in the last 10-15 years he owned it due to a back surgery which made it difficult for him to get in and out, the engine is original 75K mileage is accurate.The engine runs strong with the compression between 133-140
Ithas the original fuel injection with new fuel injectors and starts right up and idles great with no fuel smell nor smoke. The motor and transmission are both completely dry...absolutely no oil leaks.It has a new Optima battery, new Cap, Rotor, Points, Spark Plugs, Spark Plug Wires, and Brake Lines.
I have provided 150+ pictures to showthe condition of the body, frame, interior anddrivetrain, as you can see in the pictures, I did not spray the pan with undercoating to show how solid it is in its original condition and also did not paint the engine tins and intakes...wanted to show the original condition and did not want to look like that i am hiding flaws. ( I was planning to put undercoating and to repaint the engine tins and intake runners until I decided to sell a few weeks ago)
It had the original paint job with nice patina when I took delivery..I did decide to strip the 914 to the bare metal ($$$$$) before a repaint (1 year ago)... as you can see in the Before and After pictures..,, this 914 had no bondo or any signs of body damage, even the hell hole is original and did not need any repairs, floors are solid, jack points are in tact and longitudes are absolutely rust free. I had it painted with the original paint code L96D and it looks beautiful in silver.
I also upgraded to authentic original 914 2.0 Fuchs wheels (the original steel wheels will be included). The shifter bushings have been gone through and shifts nice. The targa top is in beautiful condition as well as the weather stripping and rubber pieces. The bumpers and bumper tops are original to the car and both front and rear are in decent shape. Interior has new carpet, Lloyd mats, and a Racemark steering wheel which is Sherwood engraved (Original steering wheel included).914 currently does not have a radio but original speakers are still present, the dash is original and has 1 crack as pictured, seats are original and passenger side is excellent condition and the driver side is great with the exception of a separation on the stitching in the bottom bolster as pictured (I have a pair of brand new seats included)
Door panels are in great condition, and all windows are original except the windshield which was replaced after the repaint due to a couple cracks. One thing that it should get replaced is the E-brake handle assembly, it does not stay up sometimes when engaged, I never worked on it because its parked in a garage and I never engage the E-brake.
It truly is fun to drive and I receive thumps up everywhere I go. I intended to keep this vehicle, however, i will need to down size the Porsche collection. I have to sell this and possibly a 911. Please take a look at the 150+ pictures in the link below;
