Car description

Beck replica built by Special Editions, remen, N on 25th Sept. 2007. Chamonix Fiberglas body built in Brazil describes it as a 1957 model. California registration is a 1957 Model Year, ence exempt from CA smog regulations. 1925 cc, 25 HP VW engine built by Raby's Aircooled Technology, leveland, A. 4 speed trans. Disc brakes front, rums rear. Gross weight 1440 lb., ront 630 lb. (44%), ear 810 lb., 56%). 11.5 lb./HP. ThePorsche model number 550 indicated weight of race cars in kilos whichequates to 1278 lbs.

Original owner drove the car 7560 kilometers (speedometer/odometer is in km) in North Carolina. Then traded it in on a Porsche 911 in 2013. I purchased it from the Porsche dealer in Hickory NC and shipped it to Napa, alifornia. The NC VIN number was not acceptable to CA DMV, o CA Highway Patrol inspected the car and assigned the current VIN. Because the Chamonix body description plate calls it a 1957 model, he CA registration is as a 1957 model, ence exempt from CA smog regulations.

The color is silver with red leather seats and steering wheel. I added a diamond plate floorboard on driver side because the red carpet tended to get bunched up exiting the car. I put it in a couple of local car shows where it got a great deal of attention and won one trophy. But it is so much fun to drive that I have used it as a daily driver (weather permitting) rather than keep it as a Show Queen. With James Dean's race car number on it and his "Little Bastard" nickname, he car attracts attention, igh-fives, hoto requests and smiles from small children and car fans of all ages and sexes.

After about 9500 miles of such fun, need to sell the car because I'm moving to a place where I will not have garage space for it. Maintenance has been easy because in Napa there is a shop that maintains any kind of the exotic cars local winery owners happen to have. My car is built of essentially VW parts which have not been hard to find. Aside from tuning and oil changes, t has only had a couple jobs to improve drivability. One involved changing the clutch master cylinder to reduce required pedal pressure. The other involved changing front brake calipers to eliminate aslight pulling to the left.

Shipping the car from NC to CA was easy with a few phone calls and a 10 day wait. The cost was $2251. Or you might want to drive it home. I'll throw in my leather helmet because it's pretty windy and I sold the top and side curtains which had never been installed because they would have made it impossible for me to get in the car. I'm 6 ft. 4 in. tall and fit nicely. Also headrest prevents installation of the top.

I think the car is worth about $30,000 and I am not interested in trading. Cash will do nicely, ayable in 7 days. Make me an offer.
