Car description

For sale by private owner
1975 Pontiac Grand Lemans Safari Wagon.
ONLY 16,074 miles ACTUAL. Absolutely AS-NEW.
Located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Because of it's age (antique status), domestic build, and fact it was last titled in the US, this car is exempt from any import export restrictions. Nothing is involved. Shipping is from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

You'll never find a vintage station wagon nicer than this. This is the cream of the crop. Shy of Pebble Beach, this car will win every survivor category judged event entered. Why buy anything less(?)
100% untouched original.
Back in 1995, a high level executive with the railway was in the NorthEastern States and through colleagues, heard about a mint and untouched original wagon, with next-to-no miles, that was stored away since new. He pursued, found, and bought the car. Here's where things get really carried away... This gentleman refused to let anyone ship the car for him. Instead, he went to the GM dealership and bought a brand new 1995 crew cab dually. From there, he went and bought a brand new enclosed trailer. Evidently, money wasn't much concern. Along with his wife by his side, they made the trip back west to British Columbia Canada. After making it 99% of the way home, they struck a deer. Damage to the truck wasn't catastrophic and they drove home to Kelowna. Once arriving, they parked truck and trailer containing car indoors. That's where everything stayed. Not many years later, the gentleman passed away. Eventually, about 20 years later, collectors heard about a nearly brand new GM crew cab dually with some front end damage stored away. With no knowledge of what the trailer contained, they bought the truck. The car remained in the trailer, in the heated garage, until the couple's son sold the property and moved his mother to be closer with his family in Edmonton Alberta. He hauled the trailer (with car) over the mountains, to the home he'd bought for his mother 2 blocks from his house. The car was parked inside her garage, and remained there. Although there were some people that heard of the car, and approached with offers of purchase, they refused to sell it. We heard of the car from the son. He is senior partner at law firms in both Edmonton and Calgary Alberta. We bought the car as a package deal with another old vehicle from him. Since then, we have done absolutely nothing with the car. We absolutely adore this car but, never use it. It sits covered in a dark garage and remains an absolute pristine showpiece. As remarkable as it was when initially discovered in 1995 at 20 years old, it is even more remarkable now in 2020... 25 years later.
For anyone seeking a vintage station wagon, here you go. This car is AS NEW in every regard. There's not a mark anywhere. It is a 100% untouched SHOWROOM original. Only the wheels and tires have been changed BUT, it comes with the original Rallye II wheels and original tires (with probably 95% tread remaining). Don't spend a dime on restoration. Buy this car and begin enjoying now. Win every survivor category award in every judged event. Know you bought the BEST there is.
There has been no "clever" dealer type photography, and no touch-ups (nowhere, never). This is exactly how it is. In fact, and ultra-remarkably... this car has NEVER been detailed, shampooed, and purportedly never even ever vacuumed!!! It's never been anything but hand washed. Furthermore, nothing but soap and water have ever touched the outside of this car. No armour all EVER. We were adamantly explained, this car has NEVER BEEN DIRTY. It's never seen anything but the underside of a cover, or limited usage on a warm sun-shining day. You're looking at the REAL THING. There's been time-capsule Corvette's that have been put away as future collectibles, Buick Grand Nationals, Vipers, and such but, this isreally rare. When have you heard of a station wagon used as anything but hauling families and furniture and children's sports gear and camping equipment? This one hasn't. There's not a mark on any interior panel... anywhere.
No other photographs will be given. What you see is what you get. Nothing hidden. If you are sceptical, check our feedback AND send a 3rd party appraiser if you would like. This is the real deal. No other 16,000 mile wagon like this will come up. The odometer can read 1,600 miles and most would would be hard-pressed to know the difference.... It's THAT NICE. You simply can NOT restore a car to the same standards as a perfect original. Items such as fan switch detents don't feel as crisp as they click, steering wheels lose their embossed grain and feel smooth, vent windows never seal right, and on and on.... Ask around. Increasingly every year, the holy grail in collector cars becomes the RARE untouched low mileage originals. Restored cars are everywhere. Cars like this are truly SOMETHING SPECIAL.
ONCE AGAIN, WE WELCOME ANY PROFESSIONAL 3RD PARTY APPRAISALS.
EUROPEAN BUYER'S WELCOME!!!
Shipping to most US destinations is in the 1,500 dollar range. Further states, such as Florida, can run around 2,250. I suggest budgeting for 2,500 to be on the safe side. Please take this into consideration.
Finally... This is a NO-RESERVE auction. I'm determined but have taken a big chance. Please be serious as I am and bid like you want it.
Thank you and HAPPY BIDDING !!!
