Car description

This Formula Firebird is the one with the 4.9 V/8 Engine that has the factory turbo and we spent the time and money to rebuild the turbo. We put in a new 300 watt AM/FM CD Receiver with Bluetooth as the factory unit was gone and a cheaper deck had been installed. We put in a brand new headliner as the factory one was torn and beginning to fall down. We installed all new interior and exterior window sweeps along with a new power motor on the drivers side door glass. We also installed new interior door handle trim escutcheons on both doors and a new exterior handle on the drivers side door. We shipped the instrument panel and gauges out to get them all reconditioned and in good working order as two of the gauges were inoperable. The speedometer would not work as we put it all back together so we did find a used head on eBay and purchased it and now have it installed. It reflects lower miles than the original unit but we have the original one and will give it to the new owner. We have all of the original Rallye Wheels and trim rings in the trunk and they naturally go with the car. Other things that we decided to do include repacking the front wheel bearings and new wheel seals, just installed a new battery, a new muffler and tailpipe on the passenger side exhaust as they were needing attention as well as a complete detail of the exterior and the interior. We have cleaned the engine compartment but again trying not to over do it as we want it to have that factory appearance. We did however replace the engine compartment hood insulation blanket as it was just too stained and beginning to fall apart. Trying to keep most of the car original as we have known of this car here in our County since it was sold new in 1980. That owner kept it for over 34 years and just babied the car. The second owner of the car just decided to buy a Jeepso we got it inas a trade-in. Solid car, no rust, just get in it and go! Email us or call us at 541-426-2100 as we are Main Street Motors in Enterprise,Oregon and we will answer any other questions that you may have.
