Car description

1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible, Triple black, starlight black exterior, with black interior and a black top. This is a real deal 242 GTO, no clones or tributes here. This car is super solid and runs great. It is a non numbers matching car, but a super solid driver with a very nice frame with no thinning at the rear horns or thin in any of the boxed sections, especially in front of the doors.
The body on the car is super solid with very nice original floors. The whole car is incredibly solid, with no rust issues. The trunk floor was replaced due to somebody, most likely in the 70's deciding to drill a hole in the trunk to work on the fuel sender, which could have been removed by simply dropping the gas tank. Well, I wasn't there is 1977 so I don't have all the answers on common sense.
The interior is all original black, and in good shape for being 50 years old, only some minor seem pulling in a few places. The guy I bought it from got excited with a bottle of Armor All as you can see.
The top is new and works great, stainless and brightwork is very nice. This car was originally Martinique Bronze, with a black top and interior, it was stripped and painted in original lacquer many many years ago, the paint is older, showing its age, but still a looker for sure,
The heater core has a leak and was bypassed. The car runs and drives very well and does not get hot.
This is a get in and drive GTO that you are not paying 50k for, that you can detail and improve in your garage, but is a excellent driver, as-is.
I purchased the car because I got a good deal, and a honest car, I have way too many cars and the wife says I was out of my mind for buying this car, so for sale it goes.I purchased the car out of the northeast, but don't let that fool you, she is very solid.
I have clean and clear title, shipping to the lower 48 States included in the Buy It Now Price.
I do logistics for a living, so thats no big deal. Payment via cash in person or wire transfer only. I have the car priced right, I bought a car that was poorly advertised, and took a trained eye, and now it is for sale. If you put your eyes on the car and tell me why I should take less, I might consider it, but I described it correctly. Look at my feedback, I do not sell junk.
Payment due within 3 business days of auction close, absolutely no exceptions! I won't waste your time with a Mickey Mouse car, don't waste my time!
Thank You and Happy 4th of July
