Car description

1967 Pontiac Firebird HO (Same owner for the last 42 years!)

Rare build on this wonderful car. Runs and drives excellent and is in great condition.

Miles: 108,596

VIN: 223377U154247

History:

Bought new by Bill Corbett out of Saratoga, Wyoming for his daughter who attended Montana State University. The car was then purchased by my father on September 1st 1974 and was the car I drove through high school. It has been in our family since 1974. The car has always been garaged and comes with detailed documentation from new including the original owner’s manual, sales brochures and detailed service records.

Engine & Transmission: The mechanics on this car are very well sorted. The manual 4-speed floor shift transmission glides smoothly through the gears. The original matching numbers L76 326 CU.IN/285 HP H.O. V8 engine starts immediately and runs strong (see video). It is equipped with a 3:36 rear end—it even has the original tag on the rear differential—and comes with factory traction bars, plus complete documentation P.H.S. Build Sheet (see photos). All gauges work, turn signals, parking lamps, and lights work as they should. Comes with a cool and rare Hood Tachometer (original). Responsive and nimble this is a bit of race car when you open it up and is a great example that is ready to drive and enjoy.

Body: This car is extremely solid. The Sport Coupe body is in very good condition with straight panels and excellent gaps. Glass is in great shape. The Colorado Gold paint shows the great lines of the car. It has had a respray that was done correctly in the original color and is nice and presents well (see detailed photos). All the chrome is exceptionally nice, rubber is good and all plastic lenses are great. The underside of the rear deck lid is dry and free of any moisture. It comes with the original jack, tools, and correct spare tire. Coker redline tires and Rally ll wheels are new—1966 Catalina poverty caps will also be included for that “sleeper” look as an option. Comes with fitted car cover w/ storage bag, and original mint condition 1967 Oregon license plates. The underside is solid and untampered (see photos)—I looked the car over closely and the detailed photos show the great solid condition of this car.

Interior: The interior is a time capsule, ordered with the rare combo of a floor shift with console delete. The carpet is great and the seats look mint with no rips/tears in this original interior—currently the car sports 1969 Firebird seat backs (headrests weren’t available in 1967), but the car also comes with the original 1967 seat backs (sans headrests). The wood is in good condition, door skins are very nice as well as the armrests, and chrome bits are great. Sporting the original AM radio and mono speaker in the back and seat belts. It also has the rare rear seat fold down option. Cup holder glove box sticker still in place from when it left the factory. This car is fun to drive and always gets the attention it deserves.

Summary:

This is asolid example of an American classic. This is a performance/race car and was ordered with those options in mind. This example is perfect for cruising during the week and taking to car shows on the weekend
