Offered up from our collection for your consideration is this 1981 “Ultimate Trans Am SE Show car”. My father and I are both retired and avid car collectors. We take a lot of pride and time in taking detailed pictures of everything on the vehicle as well as an honest description of both the good and bad on the vehicle. Our goal is to sell a car and both parties are happy with what they are getting.

Where to start? Here is the last year of the Iconic body style Trans Am SE with the best from all years” This ad may be long, however I can’t say enough of this professional built 1 of a kind Trans Am, and I want the buyer to know as many details as possible and described to the absolute best of my ability….

Started life as a 35KMILE 1981 W-87 Y-84 Fully loaded Turbo SE Trans A, and this is where the REAL FUN STARTS!!! What I call the Ultimate 455 HO Trans Am as it should have been.....

Body:

Rust free, “Car originally from California”, top and bottom inside and out

All ground effects and spoilers are FIBERGLASS and not the urethane that came on the car to get cracked up in the paint!!!

Professional PPG Urethane Base cote Black with DCU 2021 Clear, Top of the line Urethane paint on a laser straight body (see pictures)

Countless hours spent on the body prep paint and hand sanding the clear to a complete mirror finish. No orange peel complete show quality.

Phoenix Graphics SE Trans Am full Decal set, all to oem specs.

All New Weather stripping, Molding’s, Technic data decals all new. No know leaks, No door sag as all bushings were replaced. Doors Hood Trunk all open and shut solid.

Glass New windshield and glass no chips scrape etc. All Molding’s Lovers, all finished in semi-gloss black as they should be .T tops seal tight and come with original t-top covers.

Interior:

All new form Classic industries / NPD including all new Seat covers, Seat Foam, Carpet padding, Door panels, Complete. All Plastic trim is like new.

No cracks, tears, stains, as it is all new

Dash steering wheel shifter emblems are factory original SE Edition (No overlaid decals here)

Clock even details such as clock works, Rear defogger, power everything locks, windows tilt cruze control (Not hooked up, however all there, including working trunk release.

Chassis / Rear end :

Look at pictures all frame, under body everything refinished underside as the under of the car is as detailed as the whole car.

Factory w87 Posi Traction with a 3:73 new gear se, all bearings were replaced as well as added 10 bolt jeg’s rear bearing support cover to harness the power form the engine.

Sub frame connectors

New fuel tank.

The brakes: 4 wheel disk are all new including new calipers, rotors pads Chrome master cylinder and booster.

New Monroe gas Shocks on all 4 corners. All new ball joints, bushings, steering components, Motor Mounts, there is No shakes, rattles at all from the chassis rides and handles better than new.

Engine:

This is where the REAL fun starts!!!!!

New and fresh less than 500 miles on it, still running the break in oil with zinc..

455 Pontiac Yc code, Ho Super duty.10:5 to 1 compression as heads and block were surfaced and shaved . (Professionaly balanced, line bore, everything needed to build a strong reliable 92 octane fuel engine.) With 4 bolt main block, New forged crank, forged SRP Pistons, Chromalloy Rings, Cleveite bearings, Forged I beam Rods, Comp Cams .545 .545 2.73 2.60 duration Hydraulic Cam and lifters, Magnum series push rods, SRP Screw in studs with Comp Cams roller rockers in the (Mild Port and polished) Round ported ram air heads, ARP Bolts, all new Manley sever duty valves, comp cams springs, retainers and keepers. Cometic head gaskets, Fluid Dampner . High volume oil pump Hi Pref Holley chrome fuel pump, Polished Intak, 850 Eldebrock carb, MSD Billet Distributor. The list goes on and on …

Engine and engine bay Completely detailed with polished stainless bolts everywhere possible, CHROME EVERYTHING, CVR Full billet Pulley and bracket system. Chrome and completely new Converted to 134a A/C System with new hoses, evaporator, condenser all new. Chrome Waterpum, Power Stering pum, The works!!!

Engine was painted with PPG Epoxy Prime, Deltron black with a gold pearl, down to hand painted freeze plugs and bolts, for that complete show quality Finish and attention to detail. New 140 amp Power master chrome alternator, New Power master Gear reduction starter. Custom fitted 4 core Aluminum Radiator with 2 electric fans to keep engine cool .

As you can see no expense was spared in building the Spec. power plant. Estimated 575 HP and over 600 FT Torque

Exhaust:

Ram Air ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, to a 3” True dual Pypes with X pipe and new Pypes exhaust tips

Transmission:

Fresh Turbo 400 Built to hold the power, 1800 rpm stall PPG Silver paint, Chrome pan, again detailed to the stainless bolts in the pan. Shifts firm and true

Tires Rims:

All completely new 8” no curb rash, No Peeling of the paint all OEM Reconditioned wrapped in new tires.

Stereo:

This stereo is professional installed with Alpine CD Blue toots I pod hook up head unit (solid mounted not a hacked up dash) 1000.1 Kicker amp powering a Custom sub box filled with kicker subs (Note the T-tops WILL still fit in the trunk) 400.4 kicker powering the kicker 6x9 and the 6” component speakers in the doors. This stereo truly rocks and crystal clea, See pictures for the installation of the proper sub wiring kits filters fuses and cables used .

Battery New with all new cables grounds etc.

Headlights are very bright white light led, they are plug in as the original NIB Headlights will be included in sale. Lots of complements on them.

Documentation, I have Literally a box of receipts, I have a rough but the build sheet on the car from the factory, the original 1981 Owner’s manual, a CD from Pontiac “Service manual” Pontiac Historical document, and pictures of about anything you would like to see.

I really hope you will please come in person to view vehicle as it is a multi-show winner and a show piece you will love it.

Known Defects or items that need attention.

The cruise control is all there however due to the polished new aluminum intake it is no longer hooked up

On the very nose of the car under the Pontiac logo there is a small crease in the paint that has been touched up.

The very front nose of the car has some slight cracks in the clear (you must get very close and at an angle to see from people leaning on the nose where the Trans Am decal is at. Not a big deal but I try to list everything as honest as can be; I personally would not repaint it at all…

The car has mud flaps on the car I have removed them looked tacky, as there is 3 extra screws holes in the fenders. Screws in them now.

There is no jack or spare with the car.

There are dabs of silicon on the weather strip on the front corner of the T-top weather strip. Again no apparent leaks when we wash car, but letting you know I would replace the weather strip as to make it 100% perfect.

The volt gauge sometimes need to be tapped but it works, as well as the tempter gauge reads 20-30 degrees higher than a Laser Temp gun shows, may be wrong sending unit I am not sure. Working on replacing now

Additional items included with sale of car.

I have a New in box Polished intake 1” taller to make the shaker ride higher, will clear the shaker.
