Car description

1938 Pontiac 8 Touring Sedan Model 28.

FRAME-OFF RESTORATION, CONCOURS SHOWN SUMMER 2015 !!

Phantom Gray Metallic (not black) /Tan broadcloth.

Full frame-off restoration performed to a high standard several years ago holding up extremely well. Body is laser straight. Underneath looks almost as nice as the body.

These 8-cylinder Pontiacs are rare today and feature a longer hood and front fenders than the 6-cylinder models.

They also have many different badges, trim pieces, and a different Indian Head hood ornament. The straight 8 design was so good it was used essentially unchanged through 1954.

Rare, authentic wheel covers and new Coker radial tires. The chrome plating is beautiful.

Synchromesh 3 speed transmission with optional column shift with a Tenite shift ball. Hydraulic brakes.

Wipers and optional heater and defroster work properly. Optional radio was working well but has recently stopped, clock is not working.

Wiring harness was all new when restored.

Always starts easily and runs drives and stops smooth and straight.

Will cruise all day long at 60 mph on Interstates.

I have driven about 900 trouble free miles this last year and is ready for plenty more.

The new Coker 6:50-16 radial tires transform the steering and handling for comfortable use on modern roads.

The pics still show the Washington tag which is where I bought the car from. Now has Alabama registration.

This lovely, rare Pontiac 8 is ready to tour, show, and enjoy with pride.

Please call Steve at 205-422-8967 for any additional info.

My sale policy is simple, a $200 deposit is required within 24 hours. If you don't want the car when you come to pick it up you only forfeit the small deposit to cover my ad expense.

The State of Alabama does not issue titles for vehicles of this age. A notarized bill of sale and tag registration will be furnished also I do have the previous owners State of Washington title that is signed.
