Car description

1968 LeMans. All original California car, born and raised. 91,475 original miles! Odometer has never turned over. Original California black plates. Never a speck of rust on this car! 350 2bbl with 2-speed trans. Everything about the car operates perfectly! All guages, gas, speedo, odo, turn signals, lights, brake lights, high beams, wipers, etc. It all works. The car runs flawlessly. Brakes work awesomely, front disc. The trans shifts firmly, like new. No rattles or squeaks in the car at all. Super-tight steering. Front end bushings look new. This car has never been messed with, hot rodded, etc. No modifications at all. It has had one repaint in a slightly greener shade than the factory bright turquoise, which remains inside the trunk. The interior is all original and in great condition except for a split in both the driver's and passenger's seat and a tear at the top of the rear seat. The carpet looks good and does not need replacing. The console looks good also. Perfect visors. Good headliner and door panels. I have the original arm rests and they will go with the car but are not currently attached. I also have all 4 wheelwell lip mouldings and they are in perfect condition. They will go with the car. I started bodywork, which is why they are off. I also have the original chrome door edge mouldings and they are in great shape and will go with the car. Soon after I bought the car, two of the 4 original hubcaps flew off, never to be seen again. So I bought a near mint set of 1969 LeMans hubcaps because, let's face it, they look a LOT better than the 1968's. The other two 1968 hubcaps will go with the car.

As I mentioned, I started bodywork. The hood is where I started and it is now complete. Pics show it from a few days ago. It has since been perfected and block sanded exactly 10 times. The car is ready for paint. I didn't do the bodywork on the rear quarted panel. It was like that when I bought the car. However, I can attest to the fact it is done right and is arrow-straight, as is the hood and the entire remainder of the car with the exception of a very VERY minor 3-inch side swipe that would take half a day for me to fix. Aside from that, the body is perfect and never been hit. There has never been any rust on this car, period! I have checked everywhere, in detail. It is very very clean with all original panels all over the car. The bumpers are original and are perfectly straight with no dings, dents, bends, rust, peeling or scrapes. The chrome shines very nicely. Taillights, grille, etc. are in great shape with no issues. All of the glass in the car is original and in great shape. No chips, scratches or cracks anywhere. They are very clear with no hazing. All windows roll up and down easily.

Feel free to ask any questions. I may have left out some info, so don't hesitate to ask questions.

Payment is to be made by bank wire transfer only. The only exception to this is if you have already viewed the car prior to bidding and pay cash upon pick-up. No cashier's check or any other type of payment. I know a great transporter. If you need their info, I will supply it. Thanks for looking!
