Car description

Offered for your consideration is a1967 Pontiac GTO. I am selling this vehicle for a good friend who is technically challenged and doesn't understand how to use eBay. After reading this description and viewing the posted photographs, f you have additional questions, lease phone Jason at (860)227-0193.

I am not a GTO expert, ut have a very good general knowledge ofcars. I drove the GTO earlier today and inspected it myself as if I were a potential buyer while taking photographs for this listing. It is being represented in good faith with honesty and integrity paramount in all of my listings.

Overall, his car is very nice. The red paint is beautiful without fading, hecking, r orange peel. It is a recent paint job having been professionally completed about6 years ago. There are a couple of very-very minor (teeny)chips, small 1/2 inchscuff on the driver's door, nd a minor dent in the driver side quarter panel in the dog leg area. It appears as though there was a thin skim coating ofbody fillerin the area which has cracked at the point of impact. Maybe 2 -3 inches long and really not noticeable unless scrutinizing the car.I have included a photo of this area.Otherwise, he paint is a 9-1/2+ out of 10.

The car has no rust at all. The panel fitment and gaps areclose and straight. All panels including the hood and trunk lid, re perfect with no waviness. The reflections from all angles are straight and identical across all panel joints.Look at the photos. There is evidence that the trunk floor has been replaced. The workmanship is professional and very well done, ut not ground smooth and finished as a show car would be. All of the car's trim metal is extremely nice with some weathering, nd a scratch here and there, ut no noticeable dents. The front grill and headlights are extremely nice with no defects. The front and rear bumpers are shiny chrome but are showing their age when inspecting at close up. A little hazing, ut no pitting.

The vinyl top has just been replaced professionally with new. While off the car, minor surfacecorrosion commonly found around the rear window trim was addressed. The vinyl top is perfect.

The interior is clean and inexcellent condition with the exception of the driver's seat back bolster which has wear. This area has been shownin a photograph. A vinyl repair technician would be able to repair this like new for $100-$150. I have had this type of work done in the past with great success. Fibrenew is a franchise mobile company that will come to your house. Otherwise, he seats, oor panels, ash pad, ead liner, arpet, nd center console are extremely nice. All of the car's glass is in great shape. The GTO's aftermarket Alpine Stereo really stands out as being the only thing out-of-place. Likewise, here is a pair of 6x9 aftermarket speakers professionally mounted in the rear window deck. They look very nice and are not really noticeable.

The engine has just been tuned up with new wires, lugs, istributor cap, otor, air filter, nd oil change. The radiator hoses and thermostat are new. The clutch was replaced this year anda new heavy dutyflywheel installed. The engine runs great and sounds even better. It pulls strong in all gears with no noises, ibrations, attles, tc.The engine and 4 speed manual transmission are original to the car with matching numbers. Jason purchased the car about 4 years ago and was told that the engine was never rebuilt. He was lead to believe that the 71,000 on the odometer is accurate and has had no reason to believe otherwise.

I have taken a number of pictures of the engine compartment and undercarriage. The undercarriage, irewall, ender liners, nd engine compartment in generalcould benefit from a good detailing. I looked closely at the undercarriage from all angles and saw no significant rust. The driver and passenger floors are solid. I have included photos. The tires are one year old and include a new spare in the trunk. The rally wheels are in very good condition. They do have some paint nicks and minor scratches, ut very presentable.

The car has PHS Documentation and a reprint of the original window sticker.

If I have forgotten anything, r if you have any additional questions, eel free to email or call. This listing is offered in true auction fashion with no reserve and a $1 starting bid. I am confident that the marketplace will permit this car to sell at a fair price. Good luck bidding!

I have been fielding many questions since listing this car. Please feel free to call or text Jason at the number provided in the listing rather than me relaying most of the questions to him. I did take a multitude of photos not realizing that eBay would only allow 24. I have photos of the vin plate and trunk and various other points. I am able to attach additional pics to replies, ut to the listing. Please ask. I did not take photos of the door plate or engine stamping. The car is in storage and I don't know if I will be able to get those photos for you before the listing ends. I don't believe Jason has pictures of the body before and during paint prep. He purchased the car after this was complete. He believes that he is the forth owner and stated that it was owned by a corporation for many years and changed hands once before he purchased it 4 years ago.

I understand that it would be a risk to make an offer without seeing the car for yourself and want whoever buys it to be comfortable with this purchase and be really happy with their new GTO. I just assumed that the listing would bring attention to the car and that it would sell locally to someone who comes to see it. However, f you are interested, ive far away, nd are considering bidding on the car sight-unseen, will not hold you to your purchase if you no longer want to buy after coming to see it. Please do not interpret this to mean that you can bid on it with no intention to follow through with your purchase.

Thanks,

Rich
