Car description

1967 Plymouth Belvedere II (RH23F71119090) 440c.i. 6-pack motor, auto 727 transmission (was original 318 car), Edelbrock RPM aluminum heads, March complete serpentine belt set up (over 2k cost), Demon six shooter carb set-up, bench seat, power steering, Disc brake kit with cross drilled slotted rotors, original fender tag, 8 ¾ rear end with 3.23 sure grip diff., 22” heavy duty aluminum radiator, factory AM radio, black interior, 15” magnum wheels with BFG Tires and dual exhaust with Flowmasters and chrome tips!

I just finished a light restoration on this absolutely awesome Belvedere! This Belvedere has an excellent look with extremely nice paint and a very impressive running 440-6 pack with all the expensive upgrades!!! It provides an excellent example of an all purpose car for shows, cruises and cruising!

A restoration of this caliber takes a lot of time, patience and money to be done correct. Please understand this is not your average “driver” condition Belvedere!

I typically restore or finish around 8-10 Mopars a year and have been working on them for more than 30 years and I do everyone as they were my own to keep. I put a lot of time, effort, pride and money in the cars that I offer for sale which is evident when viewing one of my cars compared to others for sale. I do a lot of the small things with great attention to detail that most people overlook or don’t know how to fix it correctly.

Please call Chad at 412- 496- 1439 with any questions.

PAINT, BODY AND FRAME

The body, paint and panels are very straight and in extremely nice shape and appear to be the original sheet metal! The floor boards, doors, fenders, trunk floor and trunk extensions are all in great shape and appear to be original. The doors open and close with ease and the seams are excellent. The original trunk floor looks very good and you can still see the correct factory spot-welds. The frame is in excellent shape and the undercarriage is also very clean and neat with no rust and factory undercoating. The base coat/clear coat paint I believe is around 10 years old and looks absolutely beautiful! There are only a few very small paint stone chips that were brush touched and 3 or 4 small pencil eraser size blisters (shown in the extra photos). The door jams and trunk jam are excellent and the paint looks extremely nice! I have extra pictures in link below. All in all the paint is absolutely beautiful!!! After wet sanding and buffing the entire car you would honestly think that it was just painted. The super high-gloss deep clear coat shine was just professionally wet sanded with 1500, 2000 and 2500 grit paper to achieve a high caliber ultra finish. This long process alone took over 60 hours and the finish shows it! I am also very picky and critical, as well as honest so please do not hesitate to call me as I will crucify my own car and do a complete walk around with you on the phone!

GLASS, CHROME AND TRIM

The windshield was replaced, looks excellent and has factory tint. The rest of the glass is original date coded glass and is in very good condition for factory glass! The driver side door glass has a few small scratches towards the back and the rear glass also has a few minor scratches. The front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed and are in excellent condition. The door handles and driver’s side remote mirror are in nice shape. The trim pieces are super clean and were professionally polished for optimum shine. The front grill appears to be in very nice original condition.

INTERIOR

The black interior is in very nice shape and has been restored. Some newer items are the carpet, sill/scuff plates, seat covers, headliner, door panels, front chrome arm rest bases, glove box liner and dash pad. The dash cluster is in very nice condition and there are some added gauges (Fuel, Volts, Oil and Water) for accuracy. All lighting works as should including the high/low beams, dome light, reverse lights, tail lights, parking lights, turn signals, four-way flashers and license plate light. The fan motor, wipers, horn, and E-brake all work. The factory AM radio is also working. I also cleaned and or replaced the following: fuse box, fuses, wire ends and connectors, bulkhead, light bulbs and sockets, switches and much more!

DRIVE TRAIN

The strong running 440c.i. is a 1973 steel crank motor with a nice street motor build (done years ago by the previous owner). It has Edelbrock RPM aluminum heads, March performance aluminum serpentine belt set-up with P/S, Demon Six Shooter 6-pack carb set-up, Mopar aluminum valve covers, electronic ignition and 22” aluminum radiator with dual electric mounted fans. The HP 440 makes really good power and runs excellent. This engine runs extremely smooth and very easy to drive in any given traffic condition. It has a very good idle and excellent off idle throttle response. The flat ID badge on top is J440 which is a 1973 engine.

The automatic 727 shifts excellent through the gears and is an absolute blast to drive! The 727 is believed to also be rebuilt and has the chrome pan with drain plug. The Belvedere has excellent drivability and cools well even in stop and go traffic. This excellent drive train combo runs and drives awesome in all conditions whether highway or city driving. The 8 ¾ rear-end has a 3.23 sure grip unit with a #742 center section.

SUSPENSION

The front suspension has newer upper and lower ball joints, upper control arm bushings, tie rod ends and many other newer parts. All the brakes have been checked over and adjusted. It has newer brake pads (front and rear), brake hardware, brakes lines and front brake flex lines. Front disc brake kit added with cross drilled slotted rotors for excellent stopping ability. The rear end has O.E. Mopar Performance XHD heavy duty leaf springs (P4452983 and 982) LH/RH. It also has front and rear sway bars.
