Here is my 1985 Plymouth Gran Fury AHB police version vehicle. The story I got on the car when I purchased was that it was a GSA vehicle from El Paso Texas office. You can see the government sticker on the trunk lid and the spray painted numerics under the hood. While the vehicle needed a bit when I bought it, it still needs more to bring it to basically any level of your choosing. In my opinion, paint, exhaust, and a few items to freshen on the interior will make the car very nice. This is a rust free vehicle! That to me is rare in itself as these older Chryslers are usually found in garbage condition. I believe this car had an original color respray at some point but it was poor and did not last the Texas heat. Interior is fair. Seats are good. Headliner is from another car and is nice, I have some material for the sail panels to recover, and I bought a new SMS carpet set to replace the rubber mat (needs to be installed). The exhaust was non existent when I bought the car. For the sake of getting it going I bought some sections and (ugh) a flexible pipe for the sake of driving the car around a bit and to and from where I store it. The tails section is correct but a muffler shop could easily add the center portion in from the ultra rare and brand new Canadian cat-less Y pipe to the Walker muffler.

I tuned up the engine when good parts from Taylor wires to a high quality FBO ignition module. Located a correct and rebuilt Quarajet carburetor, intake is a Edelbrock, I did remove it to reseal and check the upper engine out. New oil/coolant/hoses. Could use a transmission flush, rear end oil change, brake rubber lines swapped (included). I have a few parts included with the sale. Complete air conditioner lines to bring the system up to par, compressor is the only new part installed. Power steering pump is included as the one on the car leaks. Alternator was rebuilt and new voltage regulator. There is also some newer brushed aluminum wheel arches in the trunk, condenser, box of random parts I cannot remember, and I have some nicer door panels in my basement. I had started to remove the panel on the passenger side as I wanted to work on that dent that’s been annoying me. Passenger side wiper does not work as the plastic bushings deteriorated. I have the arm and the new bushings.

Car has a ton of potential. That’s what did it for me when I bought it as rust free was a major selling feature of all! I am not sure on the mileage as you can see what the odometer states but the car doesn’t seem like its over the 100K mark…the speedometer cable is broken so who really knows where the mileage is at. The seller to me seemed to think it was at around 65K miles if that means anything. Aside from the paint killing its appearance and the dent on the passenger side door, the car in my opinion is terrific. Some time and efforts into the Gran Fury will make for an excellent representation of a mid-1980’s squad, unmark, or keep it as the government vehicle it is.

I do have the horn pad not pictured!

Please ask any questions necessary to make the purchase easy and comfortable.
