1928 Essex Super Six Sedan Original Paint - Original Interior! Only 29,125 Original Miles "True Survivor"

You are viewing a privately owned 1928 Essex Super Six Sedan. Classic Cars Online is helping the owner with the presentation and  listing of this fine vehicle. You will be purchasing this vehicle directly from the private owner. This is an all original "Survivor" with only 29,000  original miles on the working odometer. The paint and interior are also still original. The current owner bought the vehicle last year from the third owner who owned  the vehicle for over twenty years. He was an automotive mechanic and always kept it in running condition but never registered it. It was last registered in 1959.  Any vehicle can be restored to "New" condition. The fact is, vehicle can only be original once. A vehicle in this original condition is very rare and is worth more  when it is kept in it's "Survivor" condition. Ask any high end auto collector which would they rather own, restored vehicle or a vehicle with very low miles in its  original condition.   Please read and view all of the pictures listed in the photo gallery. Click on each picture to make them larger.Would you buy a car on eBay with  four pictures and one paragraph of description? NO. That is why at Classic Cars Online our listings will go over and show every area of the vehicle that is up  for sale.   Body & Paint: Again, his still has the factory original black and blue two tone paint scheme. We are not sure what Essex called this blue color back in the day. The paint is worn  and chipping, ut there is no rust or dents anywhere on the car. With a vehicle like this, eople just spray a clear coat over the original paint to preserve the patina.  It's a great looking vehicle, ith 87 years of great patina. There is a creme colored pin stripe that runs  around the body between the two paint colors.   Trim: The bright work is nickel plating (not Chrome) and is in excellent condition without any dings, ust, arks or other problems. None of the trim pieces are missing.  It also has the optional front and rear bumpers.  Interior: The tan/dark blue/gold mohair interior is still all original and is in excellent condition. Even the piping around the seats do not show any wear. Around 1952, he  seats and door panels were covered in plastic. The plastic covers are still on the car today. The original floor mat, ear rugs, nd headliner are all in excellent  condition. The instruments and gauges are all working except for the fuel gauge. Glass: The glass is all original and in excellent condition with no cracks, hips or fogging. All of the windows go up and down without any problems.      Engine Compartment:  Under the hood sits the original straight six cylinder 153.15 cu.in. engine. The only thing that has been altered under the hood was the addition of an electric fuel  pump. The original fuel pump, hich is working, ill go along with the sale and the car.   Wheels & Tires:  Original stock wooden spoke wheels are painted to match the body color with matching pin stripping. Not sure of the age of the tires, ut all of them hold air  without any problems. A spare tire with rim is also mounted on the rear of the vehicle.   Mechanical: The car has never been restored and the engine, ransmission and rear end are all original. The engine does not burn oil or smoke. The brakes are mechanical and are  working fine. The suspension and exhaust are in excellent condition. This classic starts, uns, nd stops just fine. It doesn't need anything to start enjoying. Turn back the clock and have fun showing this 87 year old vehicle that is still original. No known problems with the vehicle. Manuals: A 1928 Essex Super-Six Instruction Book, arts List, pecification Manual and an original Sale Brochure will all go along with the sale of the vehicle.   If you have questions on any areas or items on this classic, br>(Click Here) and Ask Classic Cars Online!!
