Car description

The good: 1963 Oldsmobile F-85 Deluxe Cutlass Convertible. Car has been here before, but the reserve couldn't be met. I have lowered it to sell, and please don't ask what it is. I wont answer. I also don't need your services to help me sell her. If you do call, I will call your mom and sistera nasty name. She is a good runner, I put an Edelbrock intake manifold and 600 cfm carb. It is the 215 aluminum block V8. It is mated to a 700R4 trans. Offenhauser valve covers. ( I still have the originals) Lokar shifter, new boot, looks like a stick car, fools everyone. I changed the interior from tan to black last winter. Top motor works, top is about 3 years old and still looks good. Has new boot cover. New steel wheels, caps and rings. 15" Firehawk tires have about 200 miles on them. All 5 lug bolt pattern. New fuel pump, I removed the tank and cleaned it out. All grounds to the unabodywere taken out and either replaced or cleaned for a better ground. The interiorfloor was POR-15'd, and no rust through. SOLID FLOOR AND TRUNK PAN.I was told she came from Texas. Feaux-tina white outer paint over the original tan. Lights, signals, brake lightswork. All glass is good, windshield has a small chip on drivers side, but doesn't block vision. Trunk also got POR 15 with greytrunk splatter paint from Eastwood. No spare or jack. Front disc brakes. Dual master cylinder. Pertronix ignition. 7 blade fan. New water pump. All stainless intact, I painted the grill black, thought it looked better. Can easily be taken off with an SOS pad. Shop manual. New plugs and wires. Dual exhaust that dump before the rear axle, sounds cool with the turbo mufflers. Newer battery and cables. New auto metergauges under dash. Oil gauge is electric. New glove box insert. Tri bar LH outside mirror. Always garaged. All receipts, clean Ohio title in my name.

The bad: It has an oil leak around the oil drain plug. I did it after I changed the oil. I don't poor used oil back in. I was going to try a better gasket next oil change. She takes 89 octane only, she will bitch with anything lesser. 10.75:1 compression. 195 hp, maybe more since I opened up the intake manifold. She has about a 10 inch longhole behind the right rear tire. No gas gauge. Heater motor works, but the heat just went out of it. It also just got a small pin hole exhaust leak near the right bank someplace. Right rear around the tail light is pitted.Wipers work, but they don't park. I have the washer bottle, but it is in bad shape. Pump doesn't work. Needs all rubber around upper windows and inbetween. No speedometer, needs cable. Didn't bother, I know how fast I am going. No reverse lights.

The ugly: I have to sell her.

Sheis obviously not a show queen, but she gets attention like a rock star. She is always having her picture taken. I just hadher out for a cruise on Christmas. It's been nice here.I had to do the interior, itwas sun dried and coming apart, dirty and nasty when I got her. I don't think I left out too much. So, bid like you want it, NO TRADES PLEASE. I have to sell, arthritis is taking over, just got surgery on the left hand done at the VA. Just getting too beat up to do this anymore. I had fun playing with it, maybe someone will want to take over. I am a retired American Airlines crew chief aircraft mechanic, so I can tell you I don't screw around with safety on any work I did on this car. I have an A&P ticket if you need proof. You can see other 63 Cutlass's here, and what they are going for. This will sell to give you room to getclose to doubling your money afteryou tastefullyfix the other small stuff. If you hire someone at $200 an hour, that will cut your profits fast! I did all the hard work and big stuff. I also have an Olds336, 4lug bolt pattern, rear end with the trailing arms to go with it if you want it, along with some extra small parts. A guy gave me the axle, he is doing a 62F-85 wagon pro touring. Please pay$500 NON REFUNDABLE security deposit within 3 days of this auctions end. Remainder of price to be paid within 7 days ofthis auctions end. Bidders in the 48 states only. Pay pal or bank draft accepted. Inspection appointments are no problem. Email me herefor best times. Car to be picked up in reasonable time frame. I do not have a trailer to help in transport. To the guy that offered me $6K the last time, don't bother, but you are close, so keep trying. Thanks for going through this little car with me, hope I gave it justice, it deserves it for such a rare breed.

The fan blade should read 6 blade, not 7. It is an after market aluminum. She rarely gets over 160 degrees on a hot day.
