Car description

1980 Cutlass. originally from west coast. Non-computer controlled. (as in it likely originally was not sold in CA) Garage Kept. Weekend driver for past 10 years. I have had this car since 1996. It was my first car. I know everything about it. and every part. and every option. I would trust this car to make any distance drive as the engine and drive train are basically new. and the tires are new. The following were done in 2010/2011 more than $5000 invested in engine alone350 ci SBC engine. rebuilt by Windy City Engine in Chicago. receipt to prove. bearings sealscrank polishednew pistonsnew ringsbored over to 355edelbrock performer cam and lifters and rodscompetition cams magnum roller rockers edelbrock vortec intake with Durashine finishpolished valve coversEdlebrock extra heavy duty timing chain. with three piece coverGm Performance Vortex headsflowtech headersnew harmonic balancerMSD distributer (plus an extra MSD digital model. needs a new part to work)dual exhaust with flow master mufflers3. 42 rear gear by Auburn new in 2003GM Performance serpentine belt systemNEW (not rebuilt)JET Stage II Quadrajet 4bl carburetor with spread bore to square more plateNew clutch fannew high performance water pumpGets 12-15 MPG around town. TH350NEW tires January 2015. 205 75r 14 inch (stock) Goodyears. with road hazard warranty. About 30 miles on them. Also of note. added the Rally pac gauges. all the gauges work. RARE 1980 only special order alloy 442 wheels in Silver (also available in Gold on the Hurst Olds)Suspension rebuilt about 10 years ago with new tie rods. center link. Recently installed a new idler arm. RARE Monte Carlo SS quick ratio steering box. I think from a 1985. Hard to find! Makes a huge sporty difference1980 Cutlass sport steering wheel. in good shaperecently added 1978 Rear tail lights. with the light up Rocket emblem restored and working. Not original. but I like themNew old stock rear bumper. back coated with POR15 for longevity. LIFETIME brakes from Firestone Masterservice. Basically the only thing I ever need to have done is the rotors and bearings up front and I think the drum in back. Everything else is included under warranty. Has the AC idle solenoid relay to bump up the idle when AC is on. Hunted many a junk yard for it!Most the smog equipment is there. lacks EGR. If you live somewhere that they need to smog it you will need to put the GM Performance Spread Bore Vortex intake on ($350ish) but most states this car is exempt as its age does not warrant smog testing. Steering column is rebuilt so does not sag! Edlebrock rear sway bar. with edlebrock shocksF Body thick front sway bar and performance bushings and end linksLifetime front Springs from MidasNewish G Body station wagon rear springs (stiff. but help keep wheels planted and you can carry a lot of stuff without the body dragging on the rear tires)Uninstalled Jeep steering shaft. sanded and painted. ready to be installedCurrently License and registered in Indiana. clean title. but I am MOVING to Illinois and downsizing. Time to depart with my car. And now the "Bad"1. Needs a new or recored or radiator eventually. pin hole leak cooks off fluid. though not quickly. (easy-peesy to replace) new ones are around $120-$150 at Autozone2. Front passenger tie rod is worn and could be replaced. as the ball joint. it will then need an alignment. The part is under warranty though. you just gotta pop it off and take it into Autozone. 3. Headliner needs replaced ($130 or so online)4. nicks and scratches in the paint. you could take it to Macco. 5. some rust in the rear quarter panels. could use some general body work6. She needs detailed. Been sitting a while. Engine bay is dirty and chrome needs a polish. I get it washed but not detailed.
