1970 Olds 442 convertible very solid older restoration nice driver

This auction is for a non numbers matching 1970 Oldsmobile 442 convertible. The car was restored 10 years ago and used lightly since then. It has been mechanically freshened up last year and shows and drives very nicely. The body . hich is all original exterior sheetmetal shows no rust. the floor foot wells had been replaced when car was restored and are still like new. Undercar is very clean (pics) and correct looking. The paint has a few minor . ixable issues. there are a couple of small "solvent pops" on the rear quarter panels very hard to notice. There is a small crack in fiberglass hood at the mouth of one of scoops. very common to this hood. nd a small touch up was done on the passenger side upper rear quarter that could use some massaging. The overall condition of the paint is good. still has plenty of life left in it. All exterior chrome is in excellent condition. the bumpers are the originals rechromed NOT repops. The original stainless trim was restored when the car was restored. The interior is spotless. t was redone several years ago and is like new. It is the correct "pearl" white upholstery. The dash is perfect. all gauges work. It has "his & hers" shifter. console is in great condition as well. The power convertible top works . ad a new pump installed 2 years ago. The top itself was done when car was restored. shows a few staple pulls but is clean. ight and does not leak. Has a glass window in top. Underhood looks factory fresh. although the engine VIN does not match it is a date correct 455 which was professionally rebuilt last year. Runs very nicely. no leaks. no noises. no smoke. The radiator was recored. the original shroud is in place. The transmission (TH400) was rebuilt several years ago . shifts nicely. no slipping. no leaks. The posi rear end was serviced & inspected recently. new axle bearings & seals were done as well. Undercar is nicely detailed. all new plumbing. fuel tank replaced recently. Exhaust system is in great condition. no leaks or rattles and sounds perfect. Front suspension has been redone recently as well as rear suspension. The car sits and rides perfectly. This is a "real deal" 442 convertible . similar examples have sold at recent auctions for upwards of $60. 00. 00 If you are looking for one you really need to consider this one . t won't last long at this price.
