Car description

1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera dark red in color with 173110 miles. This car was purchased new by my mother and after her passing I started using the car as a "daily driver”. During that time the car has been completely reliable - it has never let me down or stranded me at any time. I am now retired and recently purchased a Lincoln Town Car for everyday use so this Cutlass is now excess to my needs.

The car was wrecked a couple of years back with damage limited principally to the front passenger side fender and strut assembly. The steering and front suspension were essentially rebuilt on both the driver and passenger sides - new inner/outer tie rods, lower ball joints, strut mounts, and new struts. A used replacement fender was obtained that has a close paint match. Not perfect but certainly presentable.... During the same accident the passenger side headlight assembly was cracked. This was repaired with silicone which is cosmetically noticeable but the headlight itself is fully functional.

Over the years the car has had many part replacements. These include the alternator, starter, water pump, radiator hoses, heater hoses, thermostat, spark plugs and wires, master brake cylinder, front disc rotors and calibers, rear wheel cylinders, disc brake pads, drum brake shoes, serpentine belt, muffler, fuel pump, fuel sending unit, automatic transmission fluid and filter, rear shocks, oxygen sensor, and more. The car has had meticulous oil changes during its entire life with the most recent change just four days ago.

I would rate the interior as well above average considering the age of the car. There are no rips or open seams in any of the seats. The drivers seat does show wear in some areas. The carpeting has wear and a few stains consistent with age but basically it is in good shape too. All of the glass is free from cracks...

In the interest of full disclosure the following points should be considered by the buyer. The front tires on the car will require replacement very soon (certainly before winter). The rear tires are like new. The air conditioning is NOT functional in the car. The A/C compressor clutch has failed and there may be other unknown issues. The battery is nearly 6 years old but works fine. It was Advance Auto Parts top-of-the line battery when purchased new. The passenger side rocker panel has rust.

I recommend that any buyer carefully review the photos and consider an onsite inspection of the car prior to placing a bid. I will make the car available for inspection to any SERIOUS buyer. Mileage will increase modestly during the auction. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time should the car sell locally. This is a nice running car but it is offered for sale "as is" without a warranty of any kind.

I require a $100 non-refundable down payment via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction close. The remaining payment shall be cash in person. Payment must be complete within 7 days of the auction close. The vehicle will not be released until payment is complete. NO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE.....

Please feel free to direct ANY questions to me via the Ebay message system. I will respond promptly. Thanks for viewing....
